    It was music to the ears of physicists at the University of California (UC), Berkeley, when they forced liquid helium-4 through thousands of tiny holes and heard a whistling sound.

    erm, do we have a comical section for this one? a Scientific Funnies section?

    or could this just be me having played clarinet and then saxaphone in a couple of bands in my youth, knowing that blowing through it and hearing a whistling sound out the other end is the solution?

    maybe these expeeriments only go to prove that scientists may know quantum theory but can't tie their shoelaces ;)
