Hi there! My name is Dylan Alexander, and I am an author of several science fiction and fantasy novels! I am also the Editor of an online magazine called Sci-Fi Bloggers, which you should all check out (we've been going through some growing pains since I came on as Editor, but overall everything's going very well). I will be frank with you all, since I find covert motives unsettling, though I am here to discuss science fiction with you all, talk with you about this book I'm reading called Triplanetary and rant about how awful the Ender's Game movie was, they are not my primary purposes for being here. I like it when people smile, and when they have something to talk about. I like it when they see something that they can share with their friends because it's original or whatever. So, as you can imagine, I like to show people things that create the aforementioned effects. Indeed, I will bring up many topics while I'm here, but I will most likely, and most often, probably show you all things from Sci-Fi Bloggers. This DOES NOT mean I am going to spam the site. Quite the contrary, my goal with this introduction is, in actuality, to find out what everyone's most interested in here so as to avert said aversion (CLEVER USE OF "AVERT" AND "AVERSION"). And let me be clear, this is not my way of scamming you into coming to SFB so that I can make money. To be honest, I only make money from selling advertising on the site. Visits serve no "self-beneficial" purpose necessity-wise. What I really want is for people to see what talented writers we have on the site. For example, we have this segment called Friday Fiction. One of the people who works their ass off every week for this piece is a guy named Brandon Scott. This is one of his stories. When I say I'm showing you things from SFB, you have to understand that it's for the purpose of showing you things that I think are creative and unique that just so happen to be on the site. Here's another example, this time a non-fiction piece by B.K. about the cyberpunk genre. So yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say. Please let me know what you guys like talking about on here so I know what to bring to the table. Also, it's not like I'll only have SFB pieces for you, however they will likely be in the majority. To close, I'd like for you to read the article I wrote for New Year's Eve. Thank you all for coming by to see me, and not killing me. I appreciate it. I hope we get along well. Sincerely, ~D.
