Poetry

I thoguht I would make a thread for all of those writers out there....or even if you arent a writer but have written poem....If you wanna share them I'm sure we would all like to read them!! Have fun!

These are some fairly good poems I have written:

Some people dread writing
As if it were a beastly, despicable thing
Other people think of writing
As if it were a passageway
Where thoughts and perceptions
Flow from heart to mind
Then flow from mind to paper
As if it were bubbling to the surface,
Pen itching to write those words,
Your thoughts, perceptions, words.

Life is a mystery
It’s up to us to solve it
It’s a puzzle
With a thousand pieces
Waiting to be put together
--------------

The water is rushing towards me
As it destroys everything in its path
It swallows me whole
I am begging for oxygen
The surface seems so far from here

Alias fan those are really good!

I have neevr been real good at writing but here is a poem I had to write for school about the night my parents separated....

AWAY

A day at the mall, the best day ever
Just me, my dad, my sister and brother
One was absent, she had stuff to do
But what she had in mind, we had no clue

On the ride home we laughed and joked
While I tasted food from the mall: a pretzel and Coke
We didn’t know what was ahead, what was going on
Our world was changed at the rise of a dawn

The emptiness I saw when I walked in the door
Nothing was there, not one single drawer
I felt the blood pump hard and fast through my veins
Like the rapids of a river, never calm and tame

I heard a woman yelling, a man yelling back
While I looked around at the house no longer in tact
My legs were like Jell-o, couldn’t walk, couldn’t stand
My throat was tied together like a tight rubber band

Our emotions were baseballs being thrown around
But sooner or later baseballs hit the ground
It’s amazing how through all the pain and strife
That just one night can change your life

The memories we made wasting away
The smell of my home fading away
The last of my past slipping away
Each of us alone walking away
