Pretty Vegas

I know a new fic. :P I promised myself I would stop writing after WLGTDWI but this one was too good to pass up. Let me know what you think and talk to you all very soon. CJ

Title: Pretty Vegas
Author: That would be me, CJ

Summary: The last thing Sydney Bristow expected when she bumped into chief of security of her father’s hotel and casino at a bar on New Year Eve was that they’d end up naked together in a Las Vegas hotel room the next morning. If the ring on her finger, the rumpled satin sheets and sizzling good-morning kisses were any clues, she was now Mrs. Michael Vaughn.

Michael couldn’t blame Sydney for having second thoughts about their hasty nuptials. He never thought of himself as the marrying kind, either. But he also always went after what he wanted most. Still, after an unforgettable night of passion, was he willing to risk his heart and win a happily-ever-after with the boss’s daughter?

Disclaimer: I don’t own Sydney, Vaughn and the rest of the gang but I have a few surprised characters that will pop in once in a while and those belong to me since they’re inspired by people I know and love.

How many chapters? So far 20 chapters, but I’ll see how people feel about this one and how inspired I get.

Here goes nothing....

CHAPTER 1

Las Vegas

“Hey Mike, what are you looking at?” Eric Weiss said as he came in the security room of the Mirage hotel and peaked over his best friend’s shoulder.

“Sydney.” He said with a slight smile on his lips as Eric just rolled his eyes at him.

“Aren’t you tired of just ogling her day in and day out for the last three years without telling her how you truly feel about her?” he said as he took his seat on the chair beside Vaughn’s and stared at one of the monitors in front of them.

“Did you forget that she is Jack Bristow’s oldest daughter who just happens to be our boss, thank you very much? I don’t even want to think what he would do to me if I ever asked Sydney out on a date.” He groaned and rolled his eyes as shivers ran through his spine.

“But he likes you. He even said so to me just the other day.” Weiss teased.

“Yeah, he likes me as his hotel’s chief of security but as one of his precious daughter’s boyfriends …I don’t think so.” He grimaced at the picture of a furious Jack Bristow torturing him with every unimaginable device he could get his hands on.

Is she still dating that guy? You know the tall, dark and handsome dude that always comes in here and pretends like he owns the place. What’s his name again?” he asked, snapping his fingers away in front of Vaughn.

“Noah. Noah Hicks and no they broke up. Apparently he cheated on Sydney with one of the dancers at the club… Well, that’s what Will told me.”

“Since when are you listening to gossip?” Weiss looking slightly peaked.

“Since it involves Sydney. I don’t like that this guy cheated on her. I swear to you if I ever see that guy in here again, I’ll kick his a**.” Vaughn said furiously.

“That would definitely score points in Jack’s book.” Weiss winked at Vaughn who just sighed heavily at his friend’s last remark.

“Well, can we forget about her for a few hours at least? Tomorrow is New Year Eve. We should celebrate. What do you say, you’re game?”

“Is this going to be like last year when you woke me up in the middle of the night to go get you’re a** out of the hotel fountain.”

“Funny, ha, ha. No, this year is going to be different, I promise.” He said crossing his fingers on his chest and smiled.” We could go see Nadia sing in the hotel lounge and then you, me and Will can go hit all the trendy clubs.”

“And which part is different than last year? Because so far, this is how it all started last time. Us three hitting all the bars in Vegas.” He said smiling as Weiss shot him a quirky look.

“You’re becoming grumpy with old age you know that, Mike. Where is your sense of adventure?”

“I would like to keep my job, that’s all.” He groaned.

“Maybe I should invite the lovely Miss Sydney Bristow, that way I’m sure you would come just so you might get the chance to kiss her at midnight. What do you say about that, huh?” Weiss asked excitedly.

“And what about you and your infatuation with Jack’s younger daughter Nadia, huh? You don’t seem to stop gushing about how beautiful she is every chance you get.”

“You’re not playing fair, you know that right? He sighed heavily. “ Nadia…what can I say about her…She has the voice of an angel and looks like a goddess.”

“You better shut up before Jack hears you fantasizing out loud about corrupting his younger daughter. He might just chop off your balls and wear them as a necklace.

“Funny Mike, but unlike you I’m not afraid of him.”

“Afraid of whom?” Jack asked as he entered the security room to check up on the various activities of his casino hotel. Weiss swallowed hard as Vaughn smirked and shook his head at the situation that just presented itself.

“Nothing Jack. It’s not important.” He said, pretending to focus on the clip chart on his lap and avoiding his boss’s stare at all cost. Jack just rolled his eyes at Weiss, not quite sure what to make of his strange behaviour.

“Very well then.” He said, returning his focus back to Vaughn who was closely watching the monitors in front of him.

“So Vaughn, any activities I should know about?” Jack said, leaning over and paying a closer look at the monitors.

“No yet, but the night is still young. I’m keeping my eyes on those three guys over here.” He said pointing at the screen.” I think they’re up to something.”

“I’ll be at the club with my gorgeous wife, so if anything happens, you let me know. All right?” he warned, looking at both of them.

“No problem, Jack.” Vaughn breathe a sigh of relief when Jack closed the door of the security room behind him.

Slugging Weiss on the arm, “Thanks for your help.”

“What?” he asked

“I’ve never seen you so silent in my life and pretending to work, ha!” Vaughn said shaking his head as Weiss shrugged.

“You were doing just fine on your own, beside you’re the articulate one.”

“For a guy who just used the word articulate, you don’t seem to be lost for words now.”

“Okay, fine. He scares the s*** out of me, satisfied?” Weiss shouted.

“Now I am.” Vaughn said smiling before getting up from his chair and picking up his cell phone and clipping it to his belt. After checking the bullets in his gun, he turned to look at Weiss.

“I’ll be downstairs on the main floor. If you see anything weird on the monitors, you let me know, okay?” he warned as he slightly lifted the back of his shirt to conceal his gun in the waistband of his pants.

“Oh and if you happen to cross path with Sydney, please make sure to say hi.” He winked before busting out laughing.

“I’m so going to kill you one of these days.” Vaughn groaned.

“Yeah, yeah, promises, promises.” He said waving Vaughn off and returning his attention back to the monitors in front of him.

Meanwhile in the lobby:

“Syd, I was thinking that tomorrow night is New Year Eve and we should go out; you, me and Francie.” Nadia said enthusiastically to her sister.

“Aren’t you performing tomorrow night?” Sydney asked concernedly.

As the PR for the casino hotel Le Mirage, it is Sydney’s responsibility to make sure that each performers respect their engagement toward the hotel and that the clients enjoy their vacations and have pleasant memories of their stay at Le Mirage in Las Vegas.

As far as little sister Nadia is concern, Sydney also feel responsible for her career since their were little, Sydney couldn’t help encouraging Nadia to follow their mother Irina’s footsteps and take a chance at becoming the best lounge singer Vegas has ever seen.

“Yeah, but I’m off at ten. What do you say, Syd, want to start the New Year with a bang?” Nadia asked excitedly.

“What exactly do you have in mind and please say we won’t end up in jail for it?” Sydney asked, looking slightly peaked.

“Oh Syd, you should have some fun. You know fun.” She smiled.” Do you even remember what it’s like?”

“Of course I do.” She sighed heavily “But what worries me, is what kind of fun you are talking about.”

Nadia looked over Sydney’s shoulder and smiled.” Perhaps that kind of fun.” She said as Sydney turned around and saw Michael getting off the elevator and making his way in their direction.

“Are you ever going to ask him out?” Nadia asked smiling at her sister.

“What are you talking about?” Sydney asked.

“You like him and it’s obvious that he likes you too. Come on Syd take a chance. Ask him to be your date for New Year Eve.”

“You’re imp…” she started saying when she saw Michael approaching them, a beautiful smile on his face.

“Nadia, Sydney.” He said.

“Hey Michael, anything funny happened tonight?” Nadia asked, looking at the glances bouncing back and forth between Sydney and Vaughn.

“Not yet, but the night is still young.” He said as he kept his eyes refocused on Sydney.

In return, she blushed which didn’t go unnoticed by Nadia.

“Well got to go warm up those pipes before I go on the stage. Michael, always a pleasure to see you, “she smiled. “ Syd, please think about what I said.” Nadia winked as she walked away.

Michael stood there, looking at Sydney with a puzzled look on his face.” Trust me you don’t want to know.” Sydney sighed heavily as if she had could read his mind.

He laughed.” Sisters, huh?”

“You can say that again.” She said, rolling her eyes and shaking her head.

“Okay well. See you later, Sydney.” He said, slightly touching her arm.

“See you later, Michael.” She said as she watched him make his way toward the casino.
