So the Fox network has ordered a pilot for a US version of Rake, the Australian TV series about a lawyer with some dubious methods & morals. Think of the doctor from House but as a lawyer.
My only reaction is why?!
And nobody start with that "Oh, US audiences don't get the references of foreign works." junk, we get the references fine. We don't all drive big pickup trucks, watch NASCAR racing, drink beer, watch sports and only relate to TV & movie characters that are monosyllabic.
If you want to watch a show like Rake then you could just, you know, watch Rake.
