4 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO...

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST: Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112.

If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency,

dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out...

SECOND: Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday.

Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other ' remote ' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)...

Editor ' s Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone! '

THIRD: Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#

Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery.

This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

FOURTH: How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone ' s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset..

Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won ' t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can ' t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

ATM - PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can

notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234,

then you would put in 4321.

The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

Just tried a "Vegan Molasses Cookie" from a local store for lunch. Gaah! I can't get the taste out of my mouth! :wtf:

Sometimes I will throw caution in the wind and try something to be different, it usually is met with dire consequences, and a visit to the medicine cabinet looking for pepto, Vegan anything is pretty rank in my book! Normal foods, exercise, fruits and veggies and exercise will do a body good. I'm walking more than a mile 3 times a week and I hit the gym with the wierdos oh well, I usually smart off to them with no response, LOL!

So, round about 2pm I fired up my PC. Figured I'd check on how some sites are doing and WHAM! no internet?
So I restarted it and still nothing. Checked the 232 from the modem and the wall to the modem connections but it still says no internet being sourced?
So I call AT&T and they told me my payment was rejected by my bank. WTF?
I have had my internet on autopay for years now, never any problem?
So I go up to the nearby bank and do a balance inquiry and all my money is there?
Came back, got out my original contract and wrote down the account number and headed up to the AT&T store to figure out what went wrong.
Paid the outstanding balance but the clerk couldn't figure out why the auto pay stopped?

Got home and my service was back on (I did pay the bill) so I went to my account online and
lo & behold found the problem almost immediately.

My card expired last month and they didn't have my current card expiration date.
I changed the date and everything went green.

Whew, I thought something got hacked.

No warning emails or letters? My bank cards are expiring in Feb and I'm not looking forward to how many different places I'll need to update.

Capitalism me thinks.
Sorry dude, socialism is a philosophy that leads to communism, non-American, the govt. controls all, you throw your money in a pot for everyone, and you only take what you are allowed to, the govt. tells you what to do, and what not to do. Yes some govt. is good, some taxes is good also. But too much of anything is no-Bueno. Now I know I'm speaking to a character with death ears, that's fine, but I have been around long enough to know that capitalism is much better, at least with capitalism you not controlled by a Borg like collective, but you can think on your own, and you even have a shot at wealth. I knew a Janitor, who worked his way up from the ghetto, he is a brother, he owns his own company, he works in Dallas, and he is rolling in the dough! He said if he lost every thing he would start at the bottom and work his way up again, that's is what I call brave and good spirit. I worked my from the bottom up, payed for my schooling and started my own business, I have spare time to say hi on some websites, and pass on good news. Since you are fully commited to your beliefs, then more power to you. But I know we will never agree, bottom line......;) Good luck out there, who ever you are......

A midget in a full elevator in a tall building after lunch break at taco bell can be stressful, especially if the trip to the top is a long one. Breaking wind is no fun to him...

Sorry dude, I'm pro-capitalism. I'm very liberal socially, keep the gov't out of our lives, so maybe you can call me a fiscally conservative snowflake. :smug:
I wrote that long speech, argh, and I just quit smoking! where's my beer dang it! I need to use it for a true blue socialist, lol!;)
