Ok so like the obsessed fan I am I just rewatched the ep because I recorded it the first round through...and without commercials I hate to say it but its kinda disappointing...there is something a little off with everyone. I think maybe all the anticipation made me crazy thinking it was just going to be spectacular but I don't know. It still kinda has that dark and emotional feel of season 3 which I didn't really like. Hopefully its just this one ep because they had to answer so many questions and from now on it will be more like the good ole S1 and S2 days.
But my question is about Syd and Vaughn...whats with the hookup with none of the before or after affection and cuteness they had in S2...I mean come on do you guys remember the drawer scene!!! Hopefully that is what it will eventually be back to...just seems weird that they kinda settled back into routine without evening talking about it or having a cute "I love you soooo much we have to be together now" talk...
Other than that I like the feel of APO and Nadia kicks ass and Marshall is by far the best character on the show at this point...hopefully we get to see how little Mitchell is doing.
Anyway...can't believe this day has come and gone after all the waiting and the commercials and the months on this site searching desperately for any clue as to what this season had in store

Totally agree...No Way is Irina really dead...or at least not totally dead so just in case JJ can talk Lena Olin into making an appearance she is still alive to do it.
And the Syd/Vaughn chemistry is horrible...there wasn't anything romantic or cute about them...its forced and cold...they didn't even say I love you...COME ON!!
But I did like how they made fun of everything about last season that sucked...

*starts crying* i didn't get to see them cuz my parents didn't tape it-i'm at college and don't get ABC so they swore up and down to tape it for me-and then started playing when i was freaking out cuz i couldn't wait to see it and then they told me they hadn't taped it. GRRRR PEOPLE!!
Soooo, they changed the beginning credits..which sucked.
This ep was...okay i guess....Alot better than season three but not as great as two. OMG!!!!! i cant believe they killed off spy mommy!!!! how can they do that?!?!?! eeek!!! waht a downer. and it sucks htat weiss doesnt work with them. now we dont have real comic relief. oy. two hours of alias. boring.

I think the pace should have been upped a little, but I definitely liked it. Definite improvement from S3 and I think the stories can only get better now that the APO is introduced. I enjoyed the 2nd half more than the 1st and the samurai guy was pretty fun. I don't think the Irina storyline is done just yet. Nor do I think she's dead. JJ managed to still sneak some Rambaldi into the episode for die hard fans. He laid down the seeds for the prophecy where Sydney would "destroy" Nadia, with the last scene. Weiss and Marshall were gold with every line, that Sark bit had me cracking up.
I am a little worried about JG. All through out the broadcast the local ABC news promos kept saying "learn the real reason for Jennifer Garner's cancellations...". Hope she's ok.

Uh, actually, Vaughn performed very well in field work in Season Three. I don't know where this notion that Vaughn was incompetent in the field came from, because it's sure not in the episodes!

I loved the Syd ass-kicking and I'm glad they redeemed Jack so quickly. And when Marshall came back I cheered. Now poor Weiss is in the Will/Francie position of being lied to. I'm surprised he bought the whole "I work at a bank" thing and I'm dying to know why Irina wanted Syd dead.
