The magnetic thing confuses me, and the fact that Syd pregnant, and is supporting both her pregnant self and Rachel while hanging hundreds of feet in the air with only one arm. Realism right there. I'm sorry but I somehow doubt that a woman could actually do that. I can't even see a guy doing it frankly.

I enjoyed the episode, except I was subjected to 20 minutes of lip reading, since my vcr decided to die...and have on and off audio the first 20 minutes on my recording. :( Dumb college fair.

Except for the slightly annoying college Sydney parallels, I see not reason to bash Rachel. Still liking her over Tom. Tom just baffles me, I don't know what to say about him. Rachel is just really real and confused...and I like her random bouts of OMG let's kick Dean boootay, followed by *puke* how do you deal with this shizzle!?!?! I just want to give her a hug, she's so cute and confused. Awwww. *pats Rachel*

Alias casino scenes are always priceless.
 
"Mockingbird" was a great episode ... enjoyed it from beginning till end ... I gasped when that car went up the air ... I mean Syd is pregnant ... how can they do that to her? :thud:

and the whole story-telling to come back was done very well ... loved it ... (y)

how the heck did Sloane get off so easily? wat happened? :thinking:

the end ... Syd and Rachel hanging from above ... wonderfully done ...

Can't wait what will come up next ... :woot: :woot:
 
yeh this episode serious wasnt anything special.. cant believe some ppl think it was the greatest episode yet.. but they probably say that for every episode.

anyways.. that magnet thing was a load of bs.. someone said they used a glass magnet/laser thing.. what is a glass magnet??

another person said they pressed the release button, not the de-magnetize button.. urhm.. how do you think the car was being held up in the first place?

i think this show needs to grow with its audience.. maybe when i was 12 i would of thought wow..

at least that new chick is pretty hot..
 
LMAO everyone keeps bringing up how they survived the magnet, and people keep answering with possible scenarios, and yet they still ask the SAME questions! LOL There are answers! Read what people actually posted!
 
loved it. absolutely loved it. Rachel and Tom, love 'em both! my reasons (1) the fact that the whole team are working together, marshall, dixon, the newbies and of course sydney and jack. although i wished for more of jack in this episode (i wished for more sloane last episode, and this episode has more of him!)
(2) new characters. i honestly didnt think i will like it this much. ;)somehow, everything new about alias, the new characters, interests me... a whole lot. and yes, tom's hot!!! 🤤
(3) the whole episode being focused on the mission is great. awesome. glad that they're going back to the roots. i am just hoping that there wont be any cheesiness in the future. i always loved the spy-action theme of alias... action and drama. and oh! i hope there would be more gadgets in the later episodes.
(4) the possibility of sloane being evil again.
(5) the cliffy
(6) the possibility that Nadia is Jacks! :woot:

but despite all this, cant help but miss the old characters. Weiss, Vaughn, Nadia and Irina. Will and Sark!!!

But i still gave it a 4. :coolthumb: cant wait for what's next!
 
Finally, a good, FUN episode.

Good story. Good action. Great visuals. Caught this one in widescreen, near HDTV (it was ripped from HD at really high resolution).

The ending with Sloane was great. The whole thing with Gordon Dean is at the very least, well executed. But overall I think it's pretty good.

Rachel was awesome on this one. Especially when she was in the trunk - there were some excellent cleavage shots, she looked great. I'm starting to like her (and not because of the cleavage, but yeah, that helps).

It looks like the season could be saved from the disaster of the pregnancy and the crazy death of Vaughn. And maybe he even comes back. I totally think they wouldn't do that but the endind of the second episode made me believe, when I was a total non-believer.

Good stuff... For a whole episode there, it almost seems like the good, old Alias is back. Let's hope this next one is just as good or better. :smiley:

Yeah things are looking good. I also thought I wouldn't like the new people but Rachel is almost impossible to hate at this point, and do I have to repeat myself about the scene in the trunk? :D

I also liked the scene when Rachel went back to Dean's office in Prague and the way they did that visual effect, showing us through Rachel's mind what the place used to look like, and how she was imagining her formber co-workers staring at her. That was really well done, visually.

Nice episode. It was better than Lost this week, I think. Season 2 of Lost has been slow since the premiere which was awesome.

2. It was answered at least 3 times. Maybe you should look for yourself and get your own answers rather than insulting and accusing people.

3. She used the suction thingy that was used to open the glass door to the vault in the casino. The crow bar was used to bash out the car window ;)

WOW! I can't believe you're the only person that mentioned Rachel's cleavage. Holy felgercarb! There were a few times where I thought everything was gonna pop out of her shirt. Then she would've had a REAL problem on her hands! I was hoping that I wasn't the only person who noticed it, because it was kinda hard NOT to notice it.

I say replace Sloane with JJ Abrams...because he seems to have abandoned Alias.

I missed this week's episode on Thursday and was under the impression alias is shown again on sat. nights at midnight, so I taped that while I was out. I have come back to find that I taped a very old episode of alias...so either my tape is messed up or they didn't show the Thursday's previous show...can you verify if they actually show the thursday show again on sat night as they do with lost, and if not, does anyone know where I can find the episode online or anything so I can watch it
 
I loved the episode though its the first epi with out vaughan and weiss so it was a very surreal one i kept expecting the vaughan to pop up and tell sydney to rest :( Well lets hope he comes back like syd did but syn isn't married and moved on.
