Ok, so this could be total wishful thinking (or hopeful delusions since it was quick and i have really bad vision), but was the guy in the hallway reading the newspaper when Sloane walked out of the courtroom Vaughn with a beard? I'm starting to think that I'm making this up since no one else is saying anything...

i think it's him. that's why i finally read the boards after watching four seasons of alias

Great episode! Sloane turning evil again ? The man reading the news paper was the man who talked to Gordon Dean... I do not think that it was Vaughn.

Hello, my first post... I have a question, how did they escape from the car? I didnt quite get it.

So the car is stuck to that magnet, and then the bad chick releases the magnet, (magnet not magnetic anymore - thats why the car drops) but sydney uses the thing she cut the glass with to stick to the magnet??

If Im missing something here please fill me in.

edit:

ok that glass cutting thing seems to be like some suction cup thing.. so i think its not really based on the magnet holding them up.. but still seems quite unrealistic.

OK.... I'm going to say it and I won't be afraid to admit it -- I'm not missing Vaughn :hide: .... I loved this episode.... and I am probably one of the few out there that like the new characters.... overall, it's a thumb's up for this season....

I thought it was ok. I got home a little late from a swim meet so I missed the first five minutes- but I saw the part when Jen was like "I'm not a regular mom", or whatever she said.

I'm still undecided on Rachel- I sort of like her, but I thought last night was a bit over the top- too emotional and a little repetative. I don'[t know about Tom- I think I like him.

Aww Janet.... ;) Don't worry... I've been the same way.
.

hahaah you don't like Tom janet??

i was a little bitter about him at first cuz you know, he was sent to replace Vaughn but now i just can't help it, he fits in so well and he's.... HOT! 🤤 :P
*gags* hes ugly - now, if he was actually cute, i'd be more apt to like him buuuuuuuuuuut

OK.... I'm going to say it and I won't be afraid to admit it -- I'm not missing Vaughn :hide: .... I loved this episode.... and I am probably one of the few out there that like the new characters.... overall, it's a thumb's up for this season....

Except for the first five minutes, I found the rest of the episode kindof boring. I do not like seeing Syd in the role of mentor and I don't like the way they're making Rachel into the new Sydney. I want Alias back the way it used to be, but I don't think that will be happening any time soon. :(

I voted a 4 for great. It was a awesome episode even with the casino theme again. The car lifter was a great addition, I would never have guessed they'd use that. And one more thing....Rachel aka Mockingbird was more of a crying bird. If she was in the "pretend CIA," shouldn't she have some backbone. I mean she must have seen some cruel and indecent things working in that field even if she was at a desk.

i liked it because syd wasn't at a desk she was ON a mission in the casino..i luved it. although it woulda been sooo much betta if michael or lena were in it, it was pretty good. on the preview for next week OMG i hope to GOD its michael..but they're prolly just teasing me again but i have HOPE!! time to check out aol.com/alias later peeps

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: Are you wondering to yourself -- "what in hell is she on????".... I know.... I know.... It was a hard thing to admit to myself but I've come to terms with it....

I voted the episode good, the casion scene was great but the new girl annoys me she has no backbone. I recorded the episode and it cut off the preview to the next episode i only saw the box where i hope vaughn is in. If anyone can tell me what happen afterwards or a link to the video of it, and is Alias not going to be on for 3 weeks like Lost too. Thank you.

I'm so loving S5 so far, it just keeps getting better and better! I gave this episode a 4, but now that I think about it, I probably should've given it a 5.

The casino scene was so great, Jen was hilarious in it. Also, the car hanging thing, I held my breath for the most part of it. It was just so good! And I'm really starting to like the new characters  Even though I do still miss Vaughn. A lot.

I really liked that episode, it wasn't season 2, but it was better than almost all of the s4 episodes.

And, further proof that Jack is Nadia's father, "Treat her like she was your own daughter."
"Of course."

i thought that tonight's episode was awesome. I like the flashback with Rachel in the trunk and seriously she sucks at this whole spy thing, there was a reason that she was working at a desk! I just hope that her inexperience doesn't get syd killed. And i totally don't think that she is like syd at all, she knows nothing about being a spy. I think that even when syd was recruited she wasn't this stupid

In all honesty, I think eliminating Vaughn has allowed Syd a lot of room to grow as a character. I still want him back because I think it's cruelty to deprive the main character of almost all the people she's closest to (Danny, Francie, Will, Nadia, Irina) . . . they have to at least let her walk away from APO w/ the love of her life. But he might be gone forever. I don't know. In the meantime though, his absences has really made Sydney grow as we haven't seen in any way before. W/o Vaughn there to back her up, she's grown into her own as a mentor and as a leader. She's calmer now than she ever was before. We don't see her smile, but that's realistic I think. She still misses him, but she's getting on with life and doing what she has to do.
I've never thought about it that way.... But now that you've mentioned it, I do see where you're going and I would say that I agree.... but that doesn't mean that I don't miss Vaughn, because I'll always miss Vaughn...
