Game Story: (8.5/10)

The story of Vito Scarletta begins with him looking over a photo, He starts to dictate his story. He was born in a poor family in Sicily in 1925. There he met a person named Leo Galante, who manages shorting the sentence of his. After getting out he meets up gain with Joe, who now work for Empires's three crime bosses, Carlo Falcone. Vito became a part of Falcone family too. His biggest job was to kill Clemente, who was a participant of the drug trade against commission's wishes.

Henry gets Vito and Joe involved in the drug trade, revealing that Falcone is also involved. Though are successful, the Chinese who they got the drugs from discover that Henry is a federal informant and kill him. Though Vito and Joe get revenge, they are now indebted to the loan shark they got money for the drugs from, and now have no money.

They kill Tommy Angelo and Vito learns the truth behind his father's death. The incident with the Chinese has caused too much tension between Falcone and Vinci, and Vito is forced by Vinci's men, led by Galante, to assassinate his boss. With Joe's help, Vito succeeds and they go with Galante to celebrate. The car Joe is in goes another way, and Galante tells Vito "Sorry kid. Joe wasn't part of the deal." The game then ends with a panoramic view of Empire City.

Game play: (8.8/10)

  • Basic: The game is set from 1943 to 1951 in Empire Bay (the name is a reference to New York's state nickname "The Empire State") a fictional city based on New York City, with influences from Chicago and Detroit. The game features a completely open-ended game map of 10 square miles. No restrictions are included from the start of the game. There are 30-40 vehicles in the game (45 with DLC) as well as licensed music from the era.
  • Weapons: Many firearms from the previous return, such as the Thompson submachine gun, the Colt 1911 and a pump-action shotgun. New WWII-era weapons like the MP 40, the M3 submachine gun, the MG 42 and the Beretta Model 38 also appear in the game.
  • Driving: Car driving feature is pretty much familiar to other games like this. We can find the cars like Ascot Bailey S200, Berkley Kingfisher, Culver Empire, Dezilia 410 Grand American, Houston Wasp, Lassiter Series 69, Potomac Indian and some others with different handling and features.
  • Combat & Other: Interacting with objects in the environment involves two action buttons- a standard action and a "violent" action (for example, when stealing a car, the player may choose to either pick its lock or break the window glass), used in context-sensitive situations. A map is included as in the original Mafia game. The checkpoint system has been completely overhauled. New controls include a cover system that allows the player to hide behind objects (such as generators, walls and large crates) to shoot enemies, rather than just using a crouch while behind an object.
Graphics: (8.5/10)

There is not so much to say about its graphics as it is really good and way too better than the previous installment. One thing I would like to sat that, Once you've seen the game with the PhysX features, it's hard to go back to the old way—they add just that much zest to the visuals, and Nvidia has been right to tout Mafia II's PhysX handling. As it's been a while since we last examined how PhysX is acquitting itself in PC games, Mafia II seemed to provide a good opportunity to see if the old issues have been addressed or whether they're still spoiling the sauce.

Sound Effects: (9/10)

The ambient sound effects in this game are great, almost every section has it’s own unique sound to it and that varies by what the weather is like at the time, an example of what it’s like when it’s raining is above in the graphics section.

Likes & Dislikes:

  • Likes: Good textures, great effects, rain is awesome, so is snow. Soundtrack is fun, it gives an original effect. It also have Familiar controls, quick actions and easy car usage.
  • Dislikes: Inconsistent textures, feels incomplete, not enough models. No melee, no water, no diving from cars, strange AI quirks, brutal save/checkpoint system. Broken AA, odd graphics anomalies, dodgy AI that don’t move, car physics issues.
Overall Score: 8.7

This game, "Mafia 2" gets a rating of 8.7 in Forumese Game Rating.

Mafia 2 is really great for its level of detail. The story is fantastic, and I genuinely felt some attachment to the characters which I never get without playing too much this game. As an experience it's ambitious in narrative scope, with consistently entertaining game play and set pieces to hook you in.
