As part of our recent maintenance a new feature is now available, highlight & select text in posts to quote them!

If you have ever quoted a really long post just to answer a question from it then you already know how annoying it can be sometimes to have to edit the quoted text first before replying. No problem, there is now a really easier way to quote only what you want to!

When reading a post in the forums just use your mouse to highlight the text you want to quote. When you are done highlighting the text you will see a small pop-op menu where you can select "+ Quote" to add the text to a list of multiple quotes or "Reply" to immediately quote & reply to the selected text.

After clicking "Reply" you will be automatically taken down to the quick reply box at the bottom of the page with your selected text already filled in.

After clicking "+Quote" you can then continue reading the current page and can select additional quote to text by highlighting again. When you are ready to reply scroll down to the quick reply box at the bottom of the page and select the "Insert Quotes" button. A pop-up box will appear with all of your selected quotes. The order in which they are shown is how they will be inserted into your reply. If you want to change the order just drag & drop the quote to where you want it. If there are any quotes you don't want to use you can click the "Remove" button to take it off of your list. When ready click "Quote these messages" and all of your selected quotes will be inserted into the quick reply box ready for you to reply.

You can of course still use the "Reply" and "+Quote" links that are shown in the bottom right of the post to quote entire posts. ;)
