John Schuck previously played another Klingon, the unnamed Klingon Ambassador in both Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. He also played Legate Parn in the DS9 episode "The Maquis, Part II" and a member of the alien Chorus in the Voyager episode "Muse".

having just watched this episode, it's hard to see how anyone watching it would not want to tune into the next epiosde. considering the network is going to cut this series, maybe they should be forced to sit down and watch this episode.

genetic engineering, viruses, conflicting loyalty including possible dishonour and treason, combat in space and boarding parties, ambushes and kidnapping, name dropping of crucial characters within the storyline in the universe it's set in.

all wrapped together very well. there have admittedly been some episodes recently where the storylines did not run fluidly, however this episode is an excellent example of why the show costs so much per episode to create.
