Andor has been, so far, another great installment in the Star Wars TV franchises. Personally I like that the story lines with the TV shows have been a bit darker and grimier than the movies.

Being a prequel to Rogue One the viewers already know the fate of the main character of Andor so the series is really about what led to the mind set of Cassian Andor at the time of the movie. The fact that it fills in some of the overall Star Wars story at the time of the start of the rebellion while the Empire is expanding its stranglehold on its citizens is an extra bonus to watch.

I'm not one for Star Wars stuff.
That being said,

Makes me want to at least check it out

I may be the only person on the planet that hasn't signed up for Disney+ to actually watch any of these spinoff shows...
I signed up as a result of stacking a few discounts to end paying something like $3/month for a 2 years. It's going to hurt a bit when I need to pay the full price but, for at least, the combination of the Marvel shows and Star Wars shows will mean I pay it.

Season 2 of Andor has been announced to dropping April 22, 2025. S2 will be spread out over a four year period before the events of Rogue One with each year being covered by showing a few days of events in that year spread out over about 3 episodes. The last year represented is to show events that take place within a few days before the start of Rogue One.

Interestingly, or not, depends on if you like little details :D, the title is now showing as "Andor: A Star Wars Story" the same way Rogue One is titled ("Rogue One: A Star Wars Story") tying the two show and movie even closer together.

On a somewhat sad not, those familiar with Rogue One knows that if the end of Andor S2 takes viewers to right before the start of Rogue One then it means that the odds of an Andor S3 are really, really slim. 😕
