I need a short story to read for school. I am homeschooled, so I get to pick pretty much whatever I want. Is Call of Cthulhu an easy read? And how was it? I think that it looks pretty short and easy, but I'm not sure. So I put my trust in you, Cool Sci Fi!

My minds blank! I'm searching that empty void and realising it's like that because I've never actually read anything in that world.

My kids are homeschooled so I know that feeling. Personally I'd have loved complete days without syllabus when I was younger, so I could just whip a novel out and read it from start to finish without interruption one day.

I've read some of H.P. Lovecraft's work (e.g., At the Mountains of Madness), but I don't think I've read that one. What's impressive about his stories is how well they've held up over time. He's a good writer (in my opinion.)

You can probably read it online, by the way. I think Lovecraft's copyrights have expired.
