The First Principles of Reality: An Argument for the Existence of a Simply Existent Universe

It seems to me you are more concerned with your peer group than the solution of the problem of your thesis?
Personally, I think you need to examine your reasons for progression.
If you are looking for fame or notoriety, yer barking up the wrong tree.
The real thesis should drive you for completion.
You would realize there may never be a victory.

The fact that you are willing to revise, is testimony to your own self-doubt and your real thesis should be ever-driving.
Pick a major and go for it.
Put everything you are into it.
Find a thesis that you feel must be worked out.
No matter what.
If you don't feel that now, you are wasting your time and your intelligence.

However, the idea of a simplistic reality in a simplistic Universe is intriguing to me.
I sense this as actual.
If you could prove it, might me worthy of notation.
I feel mankind is very wrapped up in itself.
It has a need to be slapped into reality.
I would like to see that happen.

I have always felt that simple life has an advantage on us.
That our own intelligence and reasoning is clouding us from seeing the actual nature of reality.
That we are the smart stupid ones that need a smack in the back of the head.
The fact that the rest of the natural world is able to survive and we need to rape pilliage and plunder to get where want is proof that we are certainly doing SOMETHING wrong?
We are 7.8 billion and there are more of us being born than dying.
THAT, makes no sense in a species preservation sorta way.

Okay, we will go to the Moon.
How many people are going to the Moon?
500,000...a million? How about a billion?

Okay, we are going to go to Mars.
Build habitats and terraform it.
LOL, okay?
How many, 100,000, a million?
And how many will be here while we're working out the details on how to get that done?
10,000,000,000 or 15,000,000,000?
How much does that 100,000 or even 1,000,000 people matter to a planet trying to sustain 15,000,000,000?
We are already extinct.
We just decide not to look at that.
Is my phone charged?
Is Facebook down?
Where are my friends?
Get real!

There is no simpler a reality than what we have right now in our faces and we fail to look.
THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE BEING BORN THAN DYING.
Say it again!
THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE BEING BORN THAN DYING.

If you want a worthy thesis, find a solution before it..., wait, never mind, its already past the point of no return.
There is no fix except killing 5 billion people.
I know, come up with a fix while killing 5 billion people that people can accept, now that is worthy of note.

Personally, I have nothing to invest.
I am 58 years old, my health is poor, I won't live many ,more years.
Why should I care?
Grandchildren.
I have 14 grandchildren.
These children will grow into a world that gets harder and harder to live.
They won't care about a simplistic Universe because they will be fighting for their lives for food, clean water and clean air.
Your thesis won't mean anything to them.

Oh some scientist in some far off lab might read it and say wow but then toss it on the fire to get warm.
There are more pressing problems facing humanity and the real thinkers, the real scientists and the real changers are working on those.
I'm not the only person that knows this.
Lots of people are 'working' on the problem but so far, no solution has been found.
Work on the problem.

lol, a lot of this is from my side of an open dialogue... here's my last stance... so it's funny you say some of these things... I'm being honest here, and not insulting, lol

"I'm not mad, or even slightly upset at this point, because I'm obviously dealing with someone whose logic and reasoning ability is quite a bit lower... perhaps even someone self-deceived on their degree of intelligence due to a degree of knowledge retention..."

You, a mechanic, seem much more intelligent overall than who I'm dealing with (someone who claims to have a degree of some sort, while displaying a very low degree of logic and reasoning.)

Another Kind of 'Opioid of the Masses'

That drug of science, faux intelligence-
that bulk of knowledge used to mitigate
the pangs of ignorance, the fear that comes
from unknowing, which leads to one's discomfort.

To stop unease, one may become addicted,
and fill the void with deeper understanding-
a substitute for the true happiness
which comes with clarity and common sense...

Anything to replace the fears involved;
when one realizes that they are lost.
