Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I just watched this. Its listed as a scifi romatic thriller.
I liked some of the creatures in it and the story wasn't tooooo gawd awful.
Anna Taylor-Joy still rockin that hot body {damn she's tight}
Having not watched a trailer on it, I went into the movie based on the description alone.
I didn't even read who was in it.
I ...almost... turned it off, then I saw them and y'all know I loves me sum monsters!
Enjoyment 72%, would have been higher but the beginning was kinda boring.
Gotta watch again.

This one had my attention so I cheated a bit and found the plot summary online. I think the premise is interesting, at least something we haven't seen over & over again in other movies, but I was a little disappointed in seeing how it ends.

When it hits one of the streamers that I have access to I'll likely watch it. :)

Actually, the premise is common in science fiction...
Secret corporation (govt) exploits failed doomsday weapon goes to extreme to keep it secret

If you're going to break it down it's most basic than it brings up the old argument about when was the last time we've truly seen an original premise for a genre work.

I can think of a few but then, having so much time on my hands I watch a lot of movies.
Surprisingly, some of the low budget/bad movies explore unique stories/premise.
Granted, most are taken from novels and graphic novels but unique (even tho the movies are worthless)
The Asylum, Uncork'd, Wild Eye Releasing, even Fangoria and Dread Central.
Then you have the short films and kickstarter videos.

Thing is, premise isn't as important to me as the watchability enjoyment.
A movie is meant to be transparent, as in...you forget you are watching a movie.
Shaky cam, found footage, blackout gaps, bad acting and production, bad foley, bad makeup, bad cgi all takeaway from total immersion.

I was able to immerse into this movie once the creatures captured my imagination. It may not even be that great of a movie but since it kept me focused, I like it.
