Fantasy The Hobbit

I have heard that Peter Jackson is in negotiations to bring The Hobbit to the screen. Also heard if he does that Ian McKellan wants to play Gandolf.

I have also heard that they (I don't know who they are) are making a musical out of LOTR. It's suppose to open in Canada, go to England and if sucessful go to Broadway.

I'm sorry, I just can't see LOTR as a musical.

LOTR is most definately a musical. It was released in 2005 in London England.

As far as The Hobbit goes, what is taking so long is that New Line Cinema has filming rights and MGM has distribution rights. My opinion? I don't blame MGM for wanting money from a sure success when The Hobbit is released, but seriously, New Line was the ONLY company that had faith in Peter Jackson and in Lord of the Rings, to make it three films. Had LOTR failed, that would have put New Line in bankruptcy. Their willingness to sacrifice and take a chance makes it their right to get the benefits from the movie revenue. Oh well, hopefully it will be made someday.
