Fantasy The Lost World (1999-2002)

Tom

An Old Friend
I am half way thru Season Two. Most of the episodes are in divx format at {...}.
Having watched Season One and most of Two back to back I find it cool that the dinosaur graphics improves as the show progresses. Still kinda primitive by today's standards you can actually watch the technology develop.

Aside from a dinosaur show this series delves into many facets of fantasy. It's kinda like a buffet of fantasy. LOL

At the dawn of the 20th century, a band of adventurers are part of an expedition to prove the existence of a lost world isolated from the modern world. Disaster happens and the band find themselves trapped and isolated in this dangerous land with only the help of a young wild woman who was stranded in the land herself as a child. Together, the band fight to survive against the fearsome dinosaurs and other dangers that land has as they search for a way to escape.

This series was originally aired as the first pay-per-view series offered via a multichannel television service (DirecTV), and contained nudity and extended scenes. The syndicated version on TV and DVD releases have been edited.

Right now I am on Season 2 Episode 10 The Source.

Wow, I think I had forgotten about this one. I remember it being in syndication on the local markets and was sort of interested because of the A.C. Doyle link but don't recall actually watching it. For that I'm surprised that it ran three seasons and I don't recall it. Usually sci-fi / fantasy /horror shows that stick around a few years I will end up eventually watching.
