I had already lost all hope of this movie ever being made. When I purchased the book... many years ago it said that the rights for the movie had been sold, and then the same happened with Message in a Bottle and A Walk to Remember, but both came out, yet this one never did.
I'm not quite sure I'm happy about it, specially not after what the previous two turned out to be. I didn't completely like Message in a Bottle and I deeply desliked A Walk to Remember. But I have a feeling about this one. I know... I'm a helpless romantic, but the soundtrack music alone gives me goosebumps. So maybe not all is lost, maybe there finally will be a movie that makes justice to Nicholas Sparks writting style. I just hope I'm not wrong.
So... someone else's looking forward for this one???
so was this book really good? A great love story?? The movie looks good!
OR a tragic love story? Like Jack and Rose or Yuri and Lara??
OMG,those were tragic love stories! :blue:
I guess that deppends from where you look at ti. It's not really tragic, like Titanic as you mentioned before, but it is sad indid, and if it's faithfull to the book don't forget to bring a box of tissues because you will need them, that much I can promise.
Now it definitely is a love story, but a sad one like The Bridges of Madison County, that borders tragic without actually being tragic.
I hope I was clear enough ^_^ , although by now I'm not so sure.

Is it a teen movie ?
I highly doubt it, this book is not like A Walk to Remember which could easily be confused with a teenage love story. This one is more profound and the characters are more mature, although I think that in the movie they made them younger than in the book. Besides the topic is different all by itself, and it from I've seen in the trailer it will be narrated by old Noah. So I'm pretty sure that it won't be one of those poor attempts of teenage romance movies.

just saw it - it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
if u loved the book u'll love the movie - it really follows the book well
it was so enjoyable :D :D :D (y) (y) (y)

I just saw it too!! It was great!! I didnt cry, but I heard a bunch of peeps crying. (I never cry in movies) I haven't read the book, but two of the friends I went with had and they said it did a very good job of following the book... I give it (y) (y) two thumbs way up! And *****!!

I saw it last night, and I am one of the most anit-chick flick people out there, and I really didn't mind it. I thought it was pretty good. I didn't cry, though I think the rest of the theater was.

I saw this today and I cried like a baby (my bladder is behind my eyes anyways)... I'm a hopless romantic.... my sister went with me and she never cries in a movie theater but she cried just as hard as me....

Great movie..... (y) (y) (y) (y)

I saw it last night, and it was GREAT! Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling are perfect for the roles of Noah and Allie, and the director did an awesome job of bringing the settings and characters to life realistically. This movie how I pictured the story in my head when I read the book, it's just soooo good!! I will definitely buy it when it comes out on DVD.
