How quickly Sydney and Michael forgot Danny. But then again Danny is so easy to forget.

Also, Michael and Sydney are just fooling themselves if they think things between them can go back to normal.

Chapter 21

“I am so not happy with you right now” Sydney glared at her younger sister.

“Why not?” Nadia smiled angelically.

“Because you and that Michael prank…un cool!” Sydney told her sternly.

“Whoaaa, we’ve gone back to calling him Michael?” Nadia asked her, “What the hell happened?”

“No, it was a slip of the tongue” Sydney shook her head, not wanting to explain to her sister that she and her boss had slept together and that she in fact did not regret it as much as she probably should have.

“Baby what are you thinking about?” Danny stroked Sydney’s cheek gently.

“Nothing” Sydney lied, the events of the previous night were still flashing through her mind that evening when she had decided to go and meet Danny for dinner at their apartment.

Vaughn’s hands were firmly on Sydney’s back as she attacked his neck with kisses, trailing them down his chest.

“Syd” Vaughn groaned as he brought her lips up to meet his own, “You are so amazing”

“Thank you” Sydney grinned as Vaughn flipped them over, pinning her to the mattress underneath him.

“Are you sure?” Danny smiled sweetly.

“I just had a long night” Sydney told him.

“Oh did the baby keep you up?” Danny asked her.

“Uh, yeah” Sydney lied.

“We should take a nap then” Danny told her.

“Danny” Sydney laughed as his hands snaked their way to her stomach.

“What?” Danny smiled as he kissed her neck gently, “We haven’t had alone time in so long”

“We’re supposed to be talking” Sydney squirmed around slightly.

“What do you call this?” Danny asked her with a chuckle.

“I call it you trying to bed me” Sydney retorted.

“Okay” Danny sighed, “Sorry”

“Thank you” Sydney smiled, “I love you”

“I love you too baby” Danny kissed her forehead gently.

“How was your day?” Vaughn asked as he nursed a beer in the living room.

“Good” Sydney sat down on one of the recliners, “Where’s Liz?”

“She went down a long time ago, she had a long day” Vaughn told her.

“Well, I guess that’s good?” Sydney laughed.

“Yeah, it’s nice to have some adult time” Vaughn nodded.

“Uh huh” Sydney smiled, “I’m gonna get a drink, do you need anything from the kitchen?”

“Nah, I’m good” Vaughn told her, “I think there is some left over pizza in the fridge though”

“Okay, thanks” Sydney nodded as she walked into the kitchen quickly.

“Okay, so now that I feel bloated and exhausted” Sydney stood up from the recliner.

“Goin to bed?” Vaughn assumed.

“Yeah, I’ll check in on Liz first though” Sydney told him.

“Okay, thanks” Vaughn nodded.

“Night Vaughn”

“Goin to bed?” Vaughn assumed.

“Yeah, I’ll check in on Liz first though” Sydney told him.

"Great, I'll come join you in bed in a minute" Vaughn smiled.

"Okay, see you in a minute.." Sydney smiled mischieviously as she sauntered up the stairs, shedding clothing along the way.
