favorite Number Two's:
5) David Bauer, 'Living in Harmony'. this had a western theme and Bauer really makes you think of a judge or sheriff (some resemblance to Lee J Cobb of 'The Virginian').
4) Georgina Cookson, 'Many Happy Returns'. this is the one where #6 wakes to an empty village, makes a raft, returns to London, and gets dropped back in. Ms Cookson plays an amused socialite who now inhabits #6's former apartment. classic end as she walks in with a birthday cake.
3) Colin Gordon, 'A, B and C', 'The General'. rare double appearance. all the look and manners of one in authority. very effective.
2) Mary Morris, 'Dance of the Dead'. deceptively cute with her umbrella and pet cat. serious acting chops; matched McGoohan scene after scene. episode ends with her laughing in triumph. oh you naughty girl.
1) Leo McKern; 'Chimes of Big Ben', 'Once Upon a Time', 'Fallout'. the ultimate Number Two; smart, verbal, outwardly chummy; the epitome of a Government Man with a hint of steel underneath.
