The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad Win Three People’s Choice Awards


The fans have spoken: Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead won big at the 40th annual People’s Choice Awards held Wednesday night in Los Angeles. The Walking Dead nabbed the award for Favorite Cable TV Drama and Favorite TV Anti-Hero, while Breaking Bad was deemed the Favorite Series We Miss Most.

Breaking Bad bested formidable competition for the award, beating out NBC’s 30 Rock and The Office, Showtime’s Dexter and Fox’s Fringe for the prize.

In the Favorite Cable TV Drama category, The Walking Dead bested PBS’ Downton Abbey, ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, FX’s Sons of Anarchy and USA’s White Collar, while Rick Grimes squared off against Dexter Morgan (Dexter), Jaime Lannister (Game of Thrones), Norman Bates (Bates Motel) and AMC’s own Walter White (Breaking Bad) for the Anti-Hero award.

The Walking Dead returns on Sun., Feb. 9 at 9/8c on AMC.
