Though AMC hasn’t officially announced the return of The Walking Dead for a fourth season, it looks like the show is already set to film next year.
AMC has been pretty coy about the return of The Walking Dead for a fourth season, especially when a blood drive sweepstakes promised fans a chance to be on set for season 4. AMC even sent out an official statement that there weren’t yet any details for the fourth season.
On Sunday, though, a local Georgia newspaper seems to be breaking the news for The Walking Dead season 4 while announcing plans for the show to film in Senoia, Georgia in 2013.
According to The Citizen, “Stalwart Films spokesman Mike Riley made the announcement Thursday at the meeting of the Coweta County Commission as he thanked the county and its residents for their support of the AMC network’s hit show, ‘The Walking Dead.’â€
At the event, The Citizen reports Riley’s address to the County Commission.
“‘The Walking Dead’ will be coming back for a fourth season and will be associated with Senoia’s Raleigh Studios, Riley said, adding that pre-production for the show will probably begin in March.â€
While being appreciative to the people of Coweta County, it seems like Riley has also let it slip that The Walking Dead season 4 is already in the works.
We’re definitely not shocked to hear of the show’s return, with its record-breaking numbers and constantly growing fan base, but we can all breathe a little more easily knowing our favorite zombie apocalypse survivors will be back again next year.
