Too Much of the Holidays

So is anyone sick of it? Are your neighbors putting up too many decorations in their yard? Annoyed because half the people you know got their Christmas shopping done before Halloween? Talk about it here.

Yes! Me! But mostly 'cause of all the electricity all those Christmas lights everywhere must be using. And because shops have there " x day X-mas Spectaculars" in like November...I could have sworn they used to be like on Boxing Day? But I'm not so bothered now that it's December. But can everyone at least try to keep Christmas within December/January?

P.S... This is a tad hipocritical coming from the girl who counts down as soon as it's Boxing Day, lol!

It *really* annoyed me that people were out christmas shopping in september/october already. That's way too early. Now what bothers me is that people seem to be over-decorating. I hate that. those stupid inflatable snowmen and santas. I just hate those things. and I hate it when people put up so many decorations in the yard that you cant even walk in the yard anymore.

LOL, inflatable stuff...who invented that anyway? What happened to tasteful decoration...and have some people not heard of a colour scheme?
I can understand getting some of your shopping done in October...cause there are winter sales sometimes (even though October's autumn? ) But c'mon...that santa-oh-isn't-it-adorable-the-way-it-hula-dances-to-music isn't going anywhere. Well maybe to the recycling plant. And that's for the good of all.

It's all about money. since money can be made off these things then its worth selling them to all these crazy holiday-obsessed people who practically collect decorations

but I hate it.

why do people like buying inflatable snowmen, dancing santas, singing christmas trees

Hmm...I wonder...probably the same people who buy "Farting Old Man"...me and my bro were in hysterics when we saw it in a catalougue...but at least it had a purpose...humour.
I guess it's about having the biggest, brightest, brashest, display...fill everything with as much light and colour and sound and movemwnt as possible...with no regard for pilots who might confuse their street for a landing strip...

i know way too commercialised, and then u get the brats who go, hey i got less presents this year, grrr,

bah humbug, and i have no money, as i have less hours at work now, grrr

sighs, yup, damn them and surely if u live next door to them u r gonna be so mad

and why waste damn unrenewable resources, why?

lol, you will be soon, people get viscious in shops at christmas. *sighs* become vegetarians, no fights over the turkey eh sab...

Yeah that's good except I'm going to centerparcs and most of the set meals for important events only have like one veggie option! It's an outrage!
