Two Girls

TWO GIRLS

Two different worlds
this is the story of two girls
She was told not to carry a gun
Across the town
another girl was prepared to run
Forced to meet in the absence of light
Kissing in the dead of the night
No looks of disgust
Sailing on a cloud of lust
She came from another world
It’s a sin to kiss a girl
Violence
It always ends in sheltered silence
She came from the home of the brave
With the love no one ever gave

Light is darkness’ only fear
Naked exposure visited them there
The crushing flames of a fight
Standing up for what was right
Tears rapidly turned to ice
All the naked lies
Fingers linked together
United forever
Anger vaster than knives
Was shot against their lives
She fired the bullet for their protection
In the heart of affection
A shot was fired against her girl
Her love, her life, her whole world

She whispered:
“We’ll make it I swear”
She said:
“Don’t go anywhere”
Someone was to blame
For all the pain
When one girl died
The other one cried
In the depth of the heart
Everything was torn apart
There was nothing left for her now
Two had become one
And as she held her breath
Two girls were united in death

Bravo Alias Angel, bravo! The words that you chose help craft the poem and the emotion was raw. It's great to see that the poem spoke of same sex love, which is pretty unheard of in this forum. It was a powerful piece of writing.

The only flaw would be intolerant individuals unwillingly to see what this poem was really about..that's not a falw but I hope you understand what I'm saying!
