It's a shame that this vanity project by Jerry Steinfeld was used a vehicle for political commentary. Oh, look, it's a story about two different sides trying to come out as the winner. Oh, look, a "certification" must be done and rioters are trying to prevent it. Oh, look, one of the rioters is dressed up in a costume with buffalo horns added.

Maybe kids will view it differently but what could have been a fun, bright & shiny, family movie about the fictionalized history of Pop-Tarts comes off as a boring & not very funny way of propping up Steinfeld's ego.
