Feedback Usenet groups spam purging

FYI

I'm doing some mass deletes of spam from the UseNet groups today. I try to proactively kill as much spam as possible using a killfile before it even gets posted to the forum but on occasion the groups get hit with bots from multiple IP addresses, names, and ISPs so it makes it difficult to identify them on the front end.

Today the Doctor Who group is being purged.

People who spam should be shot. Can't we get a law passed that makes it legal to execute a spammer?

If it was up to me, I'd be more than happy to sponsor a "Spammer Hunt" competition.

But, alas, that would be unethical and illegal.

About all you can do is provide an accounting system in place for billing spammers. But chasing them in the small claims courts could be difficult and expensive.

Spamming EU addresses/sites from within the EU is illegal.
