The reviews I have read say it is a disaster but the trailer looks pretty with all that eye candy.

The Osiris Child: Science Fiction Volume One was released in the US at Fantastic Fest in September 2016. It premiered in Australia at the Gold Coast Film Festival on 21 April 2017.

Valerian received mixed reviews from critics, who praised its visuals while criticizing the plot and some of the casting.
Despite the film's being a disappointment at the box office, director Luc Besson claims a sequel is still possible due to positive fan reaction.

I find it funny because I liked both films.
But then, I'm pretty easy on films as long as they use decent standards.
There are films I shut off within 5 minutes.
