Politics War in Ukraine

Howzit? 🤙
Are we finally starting to get the real reasons why Russia invaded Ukraine?

Ukrainian authorities say the country holds deposits of more than 20 critical rare earth minerals, with some consulting and equity firms valuing them at several trillion dollars. But experts caution that the true value is hard to estimate as many reserves remain inaccessible, in part because of the Russian occupation of parts of Ukraine.
Ukraine had planned to sign an agreement with the Biden administration late last year to cooperate on extracting and processing minerals. But the Ukrainian authorities postponed the signing of such a deal, in what officials on both sides said was a signal that Kyiv was waiting for Mr. Trump to take office to strike an agreement with him.

It just keeps getting worse, Trump has already indicated his support for Russia instead of Ukraine and now he's trying to make a "deal" with Ukraine for the minerals with just about nothing in return.

I don't think anybody should be shocked when we see the US, under the current administration, starts openly supporting Russia and we see the US & Europe further splintered as Europe tries to support Ukraine. And with Trump continuing to alienate just about every US ally, an isolationist economy hitting the US is only a matter of time.

LOL...just more of the same....Glad I no longer follow "The NEWS"
I feel sorry for y'all.
If'n it comes to my doorstep, I'll kill as many as I can till my ammo runs out, then, well, oh...well.

You know, I used to think it was crazy when certain political (more like "radicalized" but that's a different topic) groups would say that the US is heading towards another Civil War. I don't think (hope) it'll ever come to actual warfare but I no longer think the topic in general sounds as crazy as it used to.

Dang it, people, the movie Idiocracy was never meant to be a prophecy! :pout:

US is heading towards another Civil War
Not brother against brother, not like that kind of civil war.
I do think working people arereally getting fed up with all the felgercarb.
Perhaps, middle class vs upperclass or working vs 1% entitled
That is something I could actually see happening.
Probably not while I'm still alive but my grandchildren might be part of it.
Thefutureisn't as bright as 'they' want you to believe. All ya gotta do is pay attention.

Anybody watching the news today? Oh felgercarb, I think Trump was going to tell Zelensky to bow down and kiss his ring!!
