Exactly like old Vietnam War home videos I've seen. The isolation, the terrible conditions, the lack of purpose, the boredom and crude behavior, the desensitizing of the soldiers, the cultural divides...
War never changes.
I had to laugh in many places. I didn't really want to. Everything in that video is just so despressing. To be honest, I'd like to see a similar video shot by Afghani soldiers and such.
I am heavily reminded of this fascinating video. Not quite the same perspective of war, but a necesarry one I feel.
