What Is The Big Attraction?

Mojang has released a third version of its Minecraft 1.9 pre-update which contains little animals which grow up, an enchantment table, and more Minecraftian goodies. The full version of 1.9 is to be released in November. Get the latest pre-release file through here.

Just posted this on my website. Seems the updates are coming thick and fast and the game is becoming more and more popular - I've never played it, don't know very much about it either - so what is the big attraction with Minecraft? o_O
