Singer Whitney Houston was found dead in her room February 11, 2012, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, USA. She was 48.

The daughter of a gospel singer, Houston would go on to have an amazing career with two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards, and hundreds of others. Prior to her death Houston had sold over 170 million albums, singles & videos. Her works span sevens studio albums, three movie soundtracks, and four movies. Starring in The Bodyguard with Kevin Costner in 1992, the movie would go on to launch her movie career as well as giving her one of the best selling movie soundtracks of all time.

Houston was found in her hotel room bathtub in the water. The night before her death she was reportedly consuming a large amount of alcohol along with prescription Xanax. Houston reportedly had a recent history of using Xanax before concerts to help her relax. She was scheduled to perform at a concert February 12, 2012, at the hotel that she was staying at for Clive Davis, her mentor & head of Arista Records. In the past Houston battled drug addiction.

The combination of alcohol & Xanax can could result in a reaction including causing a person to fall asleep. Various prescription bottles were found in the hotel room. The actual cause of death is, at the moment, unknown; an autopsy is scheduled. For the curious, it is room #434.

The day after Houston's death, her daughter with singer Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was rushed to the hospital after having a "complete breakdown." At the moment no details are available.

Some weird people out there....
It's only been 3 days since Whitney Houston died in room 434 at the Beverly Hilton hotel ... but TMZ has learned ... the room has already been RE-OCCUPIED.

A hotel reservations agent tells TMZ, room 434 is officially back in rotation -- and someone is staying in it right now.

According to the rep, the room has become a prize for the macabre-obsessed -- we're told the agents are getting flooded with requests for the death room.

But don't count on getting in there any time soon ... we're told the room -- which rents for no less than $375/night -- is booked for the "foreseeable future." The rep wouldn't give the next available date.

And now just a few years later her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, is dead also. This time instead of a drug overdose it would appear to be a case of a violent death at the hands, supposedly, of her live-in boyfriend who staged a tub drowning scene like her mother. After having been in a coma for the past several months the Brown & Houston families made the decision to take Bobbi Kristina Brown off of life support and medications after doctors advised that there was no chance of recovery.

Those families have seen some tragedies.

This is just so sad and tragic, Bobbi Kristina is now with her mom and at peace. RIP to her, and that both families the Houston's and Browns' can come together and seek solace in one another instead of the fighting/ not getting along with one another.
