You think that Lauren fell in love with him? I'll agree there were one or two moments that pointed that direction, but mostly it seemed more of a competition with Sydney or part of her job. She seemed happy enough to torture and kill him at the end. (The overall writing was extremely inconsistent, so a definitive answer is difficult.)ihatelauren_alot said:I think that Lauren had to marry him to help destroy the C.I.A. and then fell in love with him.

Yes, there's a lot of that with Lauren . . . <_<Katgram said:I just can't seem to find any logic to this.

I was going to say the same thing.I love signature SpecialAgent, it's cool!
I think so too, but unfortunately it violates our Community Guidelines (too big). I should send a PM, but right now I'm too lazy . . . (Maybe it'll be fixed by the time I get around to it . . .)I was going to say the same thing.I love signature SpecialAgent, it's cool!
that was a gr8 explenation, the best 1 I heard!ms.katejones said:Well, even though Lauren was NSC and recieved lots of intelligence for the Covenant that way, it seems like the CIA keeps a lot of information secret (like when Dixon orders everyone not to reveal Syd as Julia. Actually he knew the whole truth about her, but he STILL kept that from the NSC.)
SO, the Covenant needs a way to steal secrets from the CIA. True, Vaughn was not in the CIA when Lauren married him, but she could easily manipulate him into returning using a little brainwashing, like Allison did to Will in S2. Weiss was trying to get Vaughn back in the CIA, as well. Lauren might have picked a husband who hadn't left the CIA at all, but Vaughn was such an easy target with his crazy talking-to-dead-Sydney drunkeness. She took advantage of that, which led to the quick engagement and marriage.
God, my head hurts from trying to make any kind of sense out of Lauren.
