*all in 2005 US dollars*

Revenge of the Sith: ???? million
A New Hope: $1,084.3 million
The Empire Strikes Back: $586.8 million
Return of the Jedi: $563.1 million
A Phantom Menace: $511.7 million
Attack of the Clones: $323 million

fyi: the 10th most grossed film of all time (is that grammatically correct?) is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with $649.7 million

ANH made that much?! Whow thats a whole lot of money, haha! I put that RotS would beat it anyway :P figuring it's the last one. But that's a lot of money....

as of right now, the worldwise gross is 314.8 million and in the us its 158.450 million with opening weekend gross of 108.436. just thought i'd keep ya'll who look @ this topic up to date  :lightsabre: :starwars:

alrite to be a dork an update ya'll...as of today (june 5th) the worldwide gross is now $534.9 million. the total US gross until now is $270.490 million and the weekend gross itself was $70.047 million. it's gone down, but it's still been #1 for the last 2 weeks ( week 1 was may 20-22 and #2 was may 27-30)
so to sum up, ROTS has already beaten episode 1 & 2 and is closin in on ROTH and ESB.

Are you sure that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfes was #1? Because JUST in North America, "Titanic" grossed over $600 million. That's not counting worldwide.

Ep. 3 has indeed surpassed Ep. 2 in sales, but not Ep. 1. Ep. 3 needs $153.3 million USD (2005) to surpass Ep. 1.

Right now, Ep. 3 is #52 in the Top Grossing Movies of All Time in the US (after being adjusted for inflation)

ETA: it will surpass National Lampoon's Animal House any day now. it only needs a few million more.
