I think it's pretty much just a myth anyway. It's a sexual referance. That's as far as i'm going with that one. :angelic:

Anyway, i've wrote a few wedding chaps for other fics, and i decided to do this one a bit different. It's not drastic, but there's more humor in it than "Oh...gushy...gushy...fluffy...fluff. I apoligize if i sound crazy, i'm SO tired and i have a headache and advil has relievead the headache, but has also made me more relaxed, so now i WANT to go to sleep.

Okay, i'm done talking. Enjoy my felgercarb.

~Part…I don’t even know anymore~
~Febuary 7th~

The ocean breeze was rather relaxing to him. He hadn’t been on a true vacation since he was fifteen. Even then he hadn’t been much of anywhere, besides Florida where a family friend lived, and Wisconsin, where he’d go camping with his father when he was still involved in the Boy Scouts.

He pushed the thoughts of his father out of his head, or at least, he tried. He had to say he was rather disappointed. A father was supposed to be supportive, and give the I’m proud of you speech before getting married. But he didn’t have that. He wished he still believed his father was dead, because it would have made everything easier.

“Michael.”

His mother’s voice interrupts him as he stands on the beach, waiting for Sydney and her father to come walking out from behind the tree line that separates the beach from the resort.

He looks down at his mother, who’s dressed in a pale blue sundress that goes perfect with her fading blonde hair. He can see she’s feeling good today, her spirits are lifted and she’s smiling more than him even.

“What is it?” He asks.

She smiles and adjusts the white rose that’s attached to his tuxedo jacket.

“I’m proud of you. I’m so very happy for you and Sydney. I wish I could have done more for you in the past.” She tells him.

He smiles and brushes a piece of hair out of her eyes, tucking it behind her ear.

“You’ve given me more in a few months than I could have ever received in a decade.” He tells her. “It means everything to me to have you here today, mom, honestly.”

She looks up at him with teary eyes.

“Just a little piece of advice.”

He nods.

“Marriage isn’t easy. When you feel like arguing, don’t.” She tells him. “Instead, just hold her and remember everything she’s ever done for you. Your father and I did a lot of arguing, which was eventually our downfall.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” He tells her. The violins off to the right start to play, signaling it’s time to start. “You should get back to your seat.”

Amy nods and quickly kisses his cheek before telling him good-luck. She takes her seat just as Francie starts to make her way down the sandy aisle that’s set out by the group of white wooden chairs on each side.

Francie gives him a smile and a nod before she comes to stand at the front. Moments later the music changes and Vaughn’s heart flutters as he sees Sydney and Jack step out from behind the trees. Everyone stands up as father and daughter make their way closer to the beach.

Vaughn knows his smile must be enormous because his cheeks are already starting to hurt.

Jack must say something funny, because Sydney turns her head to look at him quickly as she giggles through her girlish smile. As soon as they get closer Sydney takes her focus off of her father and meets Michael’s eyes.

Her smile fades to a soft gentle curve as she stares at him. He takes one last deep breath as she gets closer. He finally sees the details on her dress. It’s rather plain, but at the same time it’s not because she’s in it. It has a short train and is strapless.

He’s pulled out of his thoughts when he hears the judge speak.

“Who gives this woman away?”

Jack responds to the question. “Her mother and I do.” Jack then looks at Vaughn and gives him Sydney’s hand. Jack retreats to sit next to Laura.

“Everyone may be seated.” The guests take their seats on the sandy beach. “Face me please.” He tells Sydney and Vaughn. They both face forward, still holding hands.

“You look beautiful.” He tells her before he goes back to looking at the judge.

“Upon request of Michael and Sydney, things are going to be done slightly different today. I was told to be more relaxed which I find hard not to be while in Hawaii.”

Everyone laughs.

“We are all gathered here today on this beautiful beach, to witness the marriage of Sydney and Michael. Although, they have had their hardships in the past, they’ve stood steady with eachtoher, leaning on one another when necessary, finding comfort where it could be found nowhere else.”

“I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that no two people deserve more happiness than yourselves. Through family heartaches,” Sydney squeezes his hand slightly. “And career letdowns, you both have been a constant for one another. The trust that you have cannot be broken by any outside forces, and cannot be tainted by temptation.”

“I’m not sure everyone here knows exactly how you met, or what exactly connected the two of you. But it is obvious that all you need to survive emotionally in this world is eachother. I believe you both wanted to say something to one another, so if you will face eachother, Sydney may begin.”

Sydney and Vaughn turn towards eachother and he takes her other hand that had been to far away from his reach before.

“Hi.” She smiles.

He chuckles softly. “Hi.”

She bites her lip, causing her dimple to appear as she looks down at their joined hands. She runs her thumb across the back of his fingers as she begins.

“The first thought that entered my mind when I saw you back in Chicago that early December morning, was damn he’s hot.”

Her comment cause stifled laughs from their families.

She smiles. “I wasn’t expecting you to be different from any other guy I’ve met in the past five years. But you were, you are.”

His smile is slowly starting to fade.

“When you first told me all that you’ve been through, I felt sorry for you.” She looks up at him. “How could such amazing person endure so much pain and not try to find a plug for it? But then I realized how selfish I’ve been. I have no reason to ever feel sorry for myself, because I haven’t been through half of what you have.”

“You’re such a strong person, sometimes I don’t think you can possibly be human. Last week I was having a horrible day, so were you. But you put your own feelings aside and made an attempt, instead, to cheer me up. You’re the only person that can make me laugh when I’m sad, or make me happy when I’m angry. I can’t seem to ever stay mad at you for a few hours. Because you always come walking back through the door with a smile on your face and an apology. I don’t understand it, and I don’t think I need too. You make me happy, and I love you for that and so much more. Life would suck without you, I’ve felt what it’s like, and don’t want to feel that again.”

Vaughn swallows the growing lump in his throat and blinks rapidly as he feels his eyes start to burn. He doesn’t want to cry, not in front of all these people. But goddamit he loves her so f***ing much. He brings one of her hands up to his lips and kisses her skin softly.

“Well, Michael, think you could top that?” The judge asks.

Sydney smiles through tears. “Oh, believe me, he will.”

He can’t help but smile. “A lot of people say they’d do anything for the person they love. But a lot of people don’t mean it, because words are easier than actions. But as we stand here right now, I can tell you I would do anything for you. If someone threatened you, I’d be the first to step up and take a bullet. If you were ever sick, I’d give you my own heart if I had too. Because the thought of you not safe tears me apart. It’s the only thing that scares me to death.”

“I know I’m lucky to be with you. God, you spoil me to death.” He smiles. She laughs. “I don’t know why you put up with me, I know I’m a pain in the a**. You’ve showed me things in the last few months that I probably would have never seen in a lifetime. While the life you live is rather hectic, I love knowing that when all is said and done and you come home, you’re just mine.”

“I owe you more than I could ever repay. You’ve saved me from myself, even if I didn’t realize it at first. No situation seems as bad as it is when you’re with me. And the pain that I have? It’s slowly being covered by happiness. I love you for everything. Thank you is never going to be enough, but I guess it’s a start.”

He smiles and squeezes her hands lightly.

“The rings please.” The judge says.

Eric steps forward from behind Vaughn and hands the judge the rings. He holds them in his palm.

“Michael, now it’s your turn to go first. Just repeat after me, if you’re even listening to me?”

Vaughn smiles and blinks slightly. He’d been staring at Sydney, and like what could have been expected, everything else faded out.

“I, Michael Christian Vaughn.”

“I, Michael Vaughn.”

“Well, I guess that works as well.”

Vaughn shakes his head and mentally slaps himself. He clears his throat and starts again.

“I, Michael Christian Vaughn.”

“Take you, Sydney Anne Bristow, to be my wife.”

“Take you, Sydney Anne Bristow, to be my wife.”

“To have and to hold, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, for the rest of my days.”

Vaughn laughs. “To have an to hold, for richer or for richer,” Sydney giggles, “In sickness and in health, for the rest of my days, as long as I live.”

“Well, you’re just giving it a hundred and ten percent today aren’t you? Is he always such an overachiever?” The judge asks Sydney.

“Only when it comes to her.” Vaughn answers for her. Sydney looks back at him and smiles.

“Right, well, lets get on with it. Sydney repeat after me. I, Sydney Anne Bristow.”

“I, Sydney Anne Bristow. Take you, Michael Christian Vaughn, to be my husband…”

“Woah…woah….woah…come on now, I’m getting paid for this, you have to let me do my job.” The judge teases.

Sydney lets go of one of Vaughn’s hands and covers her mouth as she tries not to laugh.

“She has to memorize lines a lot with her job.” Vaughn smiles.

“I can tell. Let’s pick up where you left off, shall we?” The judge clears his throat. “To have and to hold, for richer or for richer, in sickness and in health, for the rest of my days.”

Sydney repeats him, not even having to think about the words. “To have and to hold, for richer or for richer, in sickness and in health, for the rest of my days, forever and forever and forever. Can I kiss him now?”

Everyone laughs and the judge shakes his head.

“No, not until you accept the rings. I’ve never seen such eager couple.” The judge hands Sydney’s ring to Vaughn.

“Sydney, do you take this ring as a symbol of union and love from Michael?”

“Yes, I do.” She says happily. Vaughn slides the ring on her finger as Sydney grabs Vaughn’s ring from the judges hand.

“Okay, Michael, do you take this ring as a symbol of union and love from Sydney?”

“Well, she’d kick my a** and stuff my face in the sand if I said no.” he smiles. “So yes, I do.”

Sydney bites her bottom lip as she tries to slide the ring she’d bought Vaughn on his finger. However, with the heat, his fingers were rather swollen.

“Michael, I thought I told you to stop cracking your knuckles.” She tells him in a whisper.

“I did.” He laughs and helps her.

“It won’t…fit…there.” They both get it on and look up at eachother while giggling.

“You know what, I’m not even going to wait. Without further ado, I pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Michael Vaughn. You may kiss your bride, because God knows I won’t be able to stop you from doing so.”

Vaughn laughs as Sydney wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him. He securely wraps his arms around her waist and leans back with her in his arms, causing her feet to come off the ground. After a few moments and claps they both pull apart slightly, but Sydney doesn’t let go. She hugs him tightly and buries her face in his neck as tears fall from her eyes.

“I love you so much.” She tells him.

He smiles and rocks her back and forth slightly.

“I love you too, sweetheart.”

She pulls back slightly and he wipes the tears from her cheeks before wrapping his arm around her waist.

“Come on.” He leads her away from the arch they’d been standing under and walked her back down the aisle. He gave his mother a glance and saw that she was crying. He smiled at her briefly before passing her.

Maybe she was right; marriage was going to be a challenge. But he knew there wasn’t anything him and Sydney couldn’t get through, seeing as they’d already been through the worst.

That was a great wedding! If I had my way, that would be the way i have it, expecially with the comedy in it!

Did you get the richer or richer from Shaq's wedding? They had a show on VH1 on celebrity weddings and he said that during his vows!

Excellent chapter! I'm glad that they are finally married!
