Hi,

I'm sorry for the long wait, I have once again lost my Internet connection so I don't get on line very often  .
But there is at least one good thing, I'm writing as many chapters as I can before going back to school in less than two weeks. I have 26 chapters written so far, and you will learn more about what happened between Sydney and Vaughn in them.
I will try to post the next chapter as soon as possible, and if I can't I will ask to someone to post it for me if I can't  :(

Like always reviews are loved ::hint::

Thanks to Bec :smooch:

"Well, now we know each other where do you want to go to have this coffee?"

"Like you said in a crowded place, what about a café near the Eiffel Tower?"

"Okay." he said as they started to walk towards the Champs de Mars.

"Can I ask you what a woman like you is doing in Paris?"

"Good question, you are quite curious."

"You are right, I'm in France for my studies. I'm studying French literature so I'm going to live here for 18 months or so. According to my teacher we have to learn to live like French authors to understand their books or their messages, so here am I."

"And how is it to live like a French woman so far."

"It's like living like an American woman." she said as Vaughn laughed with her. "France is a little bit like America, we have the same life style. But I have the impressions that saying that is not a real good idea."

That visit of Paris was the first one of many, Vaughn showed me all the best places of Paris. It's how our relation started and how I fall in love with him, he is the first man I have ever loved in my life.
Sydney was pulled out of her thoughts by her son who was running toward her. She took him in her arms as he started to talk.

Chapter Two

"Don't worry you won't." he said with a smile. "Oh and my name is Michael Vaughn."

"Nice to meet you, my name is Sydney Bristow."

"Yes, I'm and you can't really blame me for trying to get to know you better."

"You're right, I'm in France for my studies. I'm studying French literature so I'm going to live here for 18 months or so. According to my teacher we have to learn to live like French people to understand their books or their messages, so here am I."

"And how is it to live like a French woman so far."

"It's like living like an American woman." she said as Vaughn laughed with her. "France is a little bit like America, we have the same life style. But I have the impression that saying that is not a real good idea."

"You're right, even if we have some things in common, France is different, but you're only here for a few weeks so you're forgiven. If you want I can show show how different we are."

"And what would you do to show that?"

"Depends on your answer." he answered flirting with her.

"Okay, when I don't have classes, you can show me Paris and buy me lunch."
"Oh so you want me to pay for your lunch?"

"Yes, after all you're the one who invited me. I don't know how it works in France, but in the US when a guy asks a girl to go somewhere with him, he usually pays for everything."

"If you say so, I'm paying for everything as long as you don't ruin me."

"I'll try, but I can't promise." she said with a smile as she started to drink her coffee."I just realized that you never told me what you are doing."

"I'm a student at LENA."

"LENA? What is it?"

"It's a school for those who will one day be the most important people in France."

"I'm impressed, so maybe I'm having a cup of coffee with the next president of France, or the next president of some important group!"

"Yes, but I'm not like some guys who are always planning their career, I don't spend all my day trying to see if it would be better for me to be a minister or the president of an oil company or an important bank. My aim is not to make as much money as possible and then leave the country in order to live in a place where I will pay less taxes."

"Please don't tell me that people like that exist."

"I'm sorry, but yes they exist and I'm around them most of the day."

"How do you manage to not be like them?"

"I don't know, I guess my parents are here to tell me that if I ever start to want the same things as them, then it's time to find a good psychiatrist."

"I can't stand people like that."

"Don't worry I second that, I was thinking about starting our visit of Paris if, it's still okay with you of course."

"I'd love to. It will be my first visit of Paris with a real Parisian."

"Okay, how about visiting the Eiffel Tower? I know it's a tourist thing but the view you have from there is breathtaking and after that we will head to the Sacré Coeur church."

End of the flashback

That visit of Paris was the first one of many, Vaughn showed me all the best places of Paris. It's how our relation started and how I fall in love with him, he is the first man I have ever loved in my life.
Sydney was pulled out of her thoughts by her son who was running toward her. She took him in her arms as he started to talk.

Chapter Three

That visit of Paris was the first one of many, Vaughn showed me all the best places of Paris. It's how our relation started and how I fall in love with him, he is the first man I have ever loved in my life. Sydney was pulled out of her thoughts by her son who was running toward her. She took him in her arms as he started to talk.

"Mom when are we going to New Yok?" he asked.

"In a few days, and it's New York. I will take you to visit the big lady with the torch in her hand. Do you remember her?"

"You showed me the picture, why does she have a torch in her hand?"

"Because she symbolizes freedom, but you are too young for that. And if you are really nice, I will take you to the zoo."

"Really?" he asked excited by the thought of visiting a zoo, he got his love for animals from his father, she thought with a sad smile.

"Yes, but you will have to be good with your nanny while mommy is working, do you understand me Mister Bristow?" she answered as she tickled him, kissing him on the forehead. "So do you promise to behave while mommy is working?"

"Yes! And you, do you promise to offer me a lot of candies and take to see the fat lady?"

"I promise, now it's time to go home. Mommy still has work to do unlike you. Are you ready to go?"

"Yes."

"You are really a good boy, do you know that? I'm really proud of you."

"I'm proud of you too."

Sydney laughed at what her son just told her, even if he didn't really understand what he just said she did and she was happy. It was on the most wonderful thing someone told her, and her son being the one who told her that made it more special. Not knowing what to say she just took in her arms, hugging him.

"Mom, I can't breath!!!" he cried as he was trying to freed him from her hug.

"Sorry, it's just I love you very much and I wanted to show it to you. Is there something wrong with that?"

"No but I can't breath when you do that!" he said before running toward his friends to tell them goodbye and to take back all his toys. Sydney was looking at him with a smile, waiting for him to come back, she couldn't help but smile at her son. She loved seeing him play with other children, it makes her want to have more. But she knows she can't have more children because the only man she wants to have children with is not a man for her. She let him go and there isn't a chance for him to come back toward her now, not after what she did and told him. She was really horrible, but she knew she had to hurt him, it was the only way to let him let her go. But every word she told him hurt her even more than it hurt him. Because not only she was lying to him to protect her secret, but she was also keeping him for experiencing wonderful things. She must have hurt him more than he let her see, even if cried she was sure he had done more, he must have torn apart all the pictures he had of them together. And it's not like she could blame because when you hear from your fiancé that she has fallen out of love and she is leaving you to live with another man it makes you want to kill the other guy. But in her case there was no other guy, just a baby he didn't know about. Every time she thinks to what she has done to Vaughn she cries, because nothing will ever take away that guilt feeling and her regrets. She shouldn't have threatened him like she did.
But it's now to late to regret her decisions, you have to live with them.
There is no going back, as hard as it's, she has to let it go and start to forget the only man she has ever loved. Because he is no longer her, he hasn't been in years. By now he must have forgotten her and if it's not the case must hate her.
