yup another update and it's not Tuesday again, but since i won't have time tomorrow i thought i already update today, guess you won't mind
Chapter 28
“Syd, you’re coming?” Michael was waiting in front of the door, constantly looking at his watch. “We’re gonna be late otherwise.”
“Yeah, one or two minutes more.” Sydney shouted from her room.
“You already said that one or two minutes ago.” Michael replied.
“Well, I’m still trying to find something to wear.” Sydney said frustrated.
“It can’t be that hard.” Michael said impatiently.
“It can. Nothing fits anymore.” Sydney came out of her room. At least she had found something. “This belly just keeps growing and growing.” She sighed.
“And it still will.” Michael grinned at her, knowing he was throwing salt into the wound.
“Thanks for reminding me.” Sydney said sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
“Anytime, now come on.” Michael gave her a wink and gestured her to follow her.
“Sure, if I still fit into the car.” Sydney complained.
“Yeah, that really is going to be a problem.” Michael chuckled and then hurried to get out of her reach before she could hit him.

At the same time Irina and Jack were standing at the airport, waiting for the flight to be called out.
“You really think we should leave?” Irina looked at him questioning.
“We’ll come back in three months, we can’t do anything sooner.” Jack replied.
“Hopefully they know how to keep track on her.” Irina sighed and looked the huge clock on the wall.
“They’re one of the best.” Jack assured her.
“If you say so. I just want her back home.” Irina said, sounding quite impatiently.
“She will come back.” Jack replied coldly.
Then it finally was time to get on board and to fly back to Washington. They would come back when they get the news that Sydney was having her baby.

“So did you like the movie?” Michael asked as they were leaving the cinema.
“Yeah, much.” Sydney smiled happily at him.
“Good, now what? Do you already want to go home or do something else?” Michael looked at her.
“Don’t want to go home yet.” Sydney replied. It was fun doing something else than sitting at home and the evening was pretty good so far and she didn’t want it to end already.
“Okay, then wanna get something to eat?” Michael asked knowing exactly he would get a yes.
“Yes.” Sydney nodded enthusiastically.
“There’s this pizzeria where they make the best pizza I know.” Michael suggested.
“Sure, I love pizza.” Sydney agreed grinning.
A few minutes later they arrived and walked in. While walking to a free table, Sydney noticed people staring at her. Or to be more exactly, at her belly. From their disapproving expressions it was clearly visible what they were thinking. ‘So young and already pregnant.’ Looking away, Sydney crossed her arms protectively over her stomach.
“You okay?” Michael asked as they sat down. He had noticed that Sydney wasn’t looking happy anymore.
“Yeah.” Sydney tried to sound convincingly, though she didn’t feel like she was okay.
“Sure?” Michael asked again and Sydney shook her head.
“Have you noticed the glances they were giving me?” Sydney asked sadly.
“Let them think what they want, Syd.” Michael said softly.
“I can’t help that it bothers me.” Sydney sighed, “I mean, why can’t they mind their own business?”
“Just ignore them.” Michael told her and took her hand to squeeze it lightly.
“Yeah.” Sydney sighed again, this time more deeply.
“You wanna go?” Michael looked at her sympathetically and worried at the same time.
“Would that be okay?” Sydney asked. She didn’t want to ruin the rest of the evening for him but she didn’t feel comfortable there.
“Of course. We order something at home.” Michael nodded, “Come on.”
Michael helped her up and then wrapped an arm around her shoulder, trying to assure her that he was there for her. Sydney looked at him and gave him a weak smile. They went to Michael’s car and drove home. All the time Sydney was very quite.
“Feeling better?” Michael asked after he had closed the door.
Sydney only nodded while trying to open her jacket but the zipper didn’t want to do what she wanted. No matter how hard she pulled at it, it refused to move. Sydney let out a frustrated sigh and only began to pull at it more forcefully which of course didn’t work.
Michael watched her for a few moments and then walked closer to her to help her. He could see how much it still bothered her even if she didn’t admit it.
“They’re not worth the time you’re angry about them.” Michael told her while carefully opening the zipper.
“I know.” Sydney admitted.
“Then why do you care?” Michael asked softly, helping her out of the jacket.
“It’s just…” Sydney looked up at Michael and stopped, nervously biting her bottom lip. She just had noticed that there wasn’t much distance between them.
Suddenly they were standing pretty close.
