I'm definately not a fan. I hate Condi Rice. At least Colin Powell didn't agree with all of Bush's decisions.

Yeah, she's not married, but she's been close friends with Dubya and Laura for years...It's funny how much bias plays into this, but I think it's nice they invite her to spend the holidays with them...friends can spend Holidays together, right?

Well I'm sure the Democrats won't give her an easy time, but I don't think they'll go after her or anything. I'm not sure if those questions really have any relevance for her position NOW, then maybe, since she was National Security Advisor, but I doubt it's really applicable to her Sec of State position.

I respectfully disagree. I think the ability to respond to information in a timely and appropriate fashion is extremely important in any type of job. It's even more important for a position such as Sec of State.

Just to clarify, I wasn't assuming that the Condi and Omarosa comparison I made was what you meant. I was only speaking for myself.

I do think Condi will miss Colin's support, strength and pragmatism...he was definitely the most moderate member of Bush's inner circle...

But, as I'm sure you can tell from my other posts, I'm not willing to pass judgments yet on show she will do as Secretary of State, again, I'm excited for her, but she certainly has more responsibilty now...

Time to step up the plate Condi! Do us proud girl, do us proud!!!

Well Condi's definitely got the President's ear, and that's a good thing for her. Whether it's a good thing for the world, we shall see... her diplomacy skills are largely untested as are her skills at running a large bureaucracy. So far I can't say I agree with her ideological slant.

One thing that's obvious from Bush's cabinet appointments is that he's appointing loyalists, rather than people who may have different views. I just hope he at least tries to listen to them.

But Secretary of State/Foreign Minister is one cool job! If I could have any job in the world, it'd be that or Sydney's job.

They were talking about "the kiss" this morning on the radio...it was actually pretty funny...I guess we all have nothing better to do w/our time than joke about this kiss on the cheek...oh well, at least they didn't talk about the MNF/DH commerical again...b/c that's really getting old!!!

HA! on the radio, they had a FRIEND of hers talking about her future career. he repeatedly dodged the question and wouldn't say that she was right for the job. :lol: i fear for our country more than i did before The Idiot was re-elected. condi has spent all of her career doing silent work. since when is she good for the job of secretary of state?
