Hi im new here and thought i would introduce myself. My name is Brian and I am currently making models of the Drones Huey, Dewey and Louie from the film Silent Running. Please take a look at my website and let me know what you think.:borg:

From viewing the pictures, to what scale are the models being aimed towards?
 
They look great to me.... Have you tried getting in touch with any of the original Douglas Trumball crew who worked on them? I know it's a long time ago but I'm sure they would like to reminisce about old times.

Didn't they have to use actors with no legs to operate them?
 
I think they are about 1/4 scale, the main body height is 6" tall, width 8" with the total height when they are on their legs of 8".
Yes you are right audiothor the actors were double amputees, as for getting in touch with the original crew - i would love to but dont know how to go about it. Does anyone have any ideas how to go about this?

I don't know how you'd actually contact Mr Trumbull himself though - but I'd bet you'd like you'd see the original suits.......:eek:
