I've watched about 5 episodes and have the rest in my DVR. For me it's one of those shows that I don't have to see the next episode because there isn't much of a thread that runs through the season. I find the series amusing, but not that thought provoking.

George R. R. Martin's series named A Song of Ice and Fire has a lot of political stuff in it. It's probably my favorite series for human scheming. He does a great job of character building where he writes from each character's perspective. So you see their justification for their actions...
I'm looking forward to this on HBO...even though I've boycotted reading anything of George R. R. Martins until he finishes the WHOLE SERIES. These are great books and should transfer well to a weekly show. Unfortunately, it'll run a few seasons and Martin won't have any new material...but...
