This reminds me of the time they made a darker and edgier remake of Battlestar Galactica. My only problem with the story is the fact that the aliens come in peace (not really). If they have an evil plot to eat/rape humans, then why don't they come in--guns blazing--and raze the place?

By the end of its run, Stargate had become a parody of itself, so I'm definitely happy with it finally coming to a conclusion. But there's already an Atlantis movie in the works. The press reveals it's called Stargate: Extinction. My bet's on Todd doing something stupid and dangerous again.

That's a good question. I don't hate the genre myself. Unfortunately, most fantasy fiction is cliched and trite felgercarb. Apparently authors never quite understood the concepts of diversity or realism. Another problem is that ~95% of online games are fantasy-based. Where's the love for science...
