Wow, no fix from the internet techies? I would think this would be high on someone's to do list.

There's several "might fix it"s, but no definite ones. I MIGHT have fixed mine by doing a driver sweep of all nvidia drivers and then replacing the drivers with Forceware 100.54 for vista 32-bit(the version I have) made back in febuary. I wont say it definitely fixed it until I have a chance to test in something people have been known to get it in for at least three hours.

Good luck! I might have that problem once my pc is up and running so I would love to hear your work-around.
