Wait....why would things have been different if Sydney had told her mom the name? Err...is she still that butt-kicking CIA-killing KGB operative? Or...not? Anyway. I felt so sad when Vaughn left....I hope they at least write....(you might have put that in there already -- I have a bad memory). I can't wait to see where you go next!

irina knows who michael is- jack and irina divorced due to jack and project Xmas on Syd. So Irina would recognize Michael Vaughn
