Season 5 Irina has a son?

Making Tom Irina's son would be too much... It's more likely that his parents are somehow related to Jack. Maybe Jack killed his parents or something so he's trying to redeem himself by getting Tom on the right side? Just a thought.

There must be something with him, that interest Jack. I feel that Jack dosn't just take a random guy to play on his team

But Sydney read the file too and didn't seemed alarmed like Jack was.

I don't remember Jack being "alarmed" and I don't think he would have hired Tom if he was.

I don't think Tom is a sibling. I believe that whole "is this/that going to be a problem" was referring to his loner-ness and the fights he kept getting into.

I thought of this as well, when I first watched the episode (see my post in 'React: 5.05')... I think it's a fun theory, but I doubt that there'll ever be much more to it. But I am desperate to know exactly what it is that Jack and Sloane were disgruntled by in Thomas' file...

Meanwhile, on the topics of siblings, I just re-watched episode 4.21 ('Search and Rescue') and noticed that when Jack told Irina how strong (or something - I can't remember the exact words) that Nadia was she responded to him 'I wonder where she gets that from...'... Woah! Is Jack really Nadia's father?? This is way too soapy.

They all just need to go and get paternity tests done, already!

I don't think that Tom is going to be Sydney's brother. My Reasons:

1. That would be too weird, just a replay of a tired storyline(Nadia). I'm glad they introduced Nadia in the way they did, but I don't think they could pull it off again.

2. I think that the writers are setting up a romance between Tom and Sydney(and possible a triangle, if they bring Vaughn back). But if Vaughn doesn't come back to the show, they need a new romance.

3. THEY NEED A NEW ROMANCE!!!! I am sorry to all those S/V fans out there, but Vaughn was a wimp last season. Except for a brief interlude in the middle of S4, he always obyed Sydney's wishes. I felt like slapping him and screaming, "STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, MAN!" A guy like Tom will provide Sydney with more of an equal, someone who will challenge her. Plus I think Jack likes him more than Vaughn

I actually think Tom is more likely to be related to Vaughn in some way. I can't see them have another half-Direvko kid, plus the fact that (if Tom IS related to Vaughn... maybe through Michaux family connections who Vaughn wouldn't have much connection with) there's incentive to protect Sydney and, more importantly, the baby! I can't say I have a theory that'll back it up.... just a thought... a feeling. It would be interesting!

No, good theory but i don't think that Tom is Irinas son! Maybe this Prophet Five is Irna's child, if the Prophet Five can be a person like The Passanger. That will make more sence to me if Irina had 3 special kids. The Chosen one, The Passanger and The Prophet Five...
