The Other 48 Days

Wow, no posts yet. Anyway...

Great hour of tv. My only disappointment was that, from what I read, the Others were really supposed to terrorize and torture the tail-section survivors, but that wasn't really shown. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all teddybears, but it wasn't what I expected their kidnappings to be.

The beginning was great. A peaceful beach scene, and then boom-goes-the-dynamite. Plane pieces & people are falling from the sky, and chaos ensues. Very well done. I did think it was too obvious that Josh "$10 bucks Ed" Randall's character was the plant. I thought from the beginning that Goodwin was "The Other." Although, he seemed to be a bit chatty with Ana. I wish she would've tried to get more info out of him before spearing him. Found it interesting that he said the children were "better off" or "in a better place" (don't remember the exact quote).

It was interesting to see that it was Bernard that heard Boone's transmission and answered him. Love how virtually every week, something else gets tied together.

Finally got to see the Dharma symbol associated with the bunker they found. An arrow...hmm...

I'm guessing the Other dragging the teddybear a couple of weeks ago while Eko and Jin were hiding was one of the children from the tail section. And how about Mr. Eko laying a beatdown on those two.

Great show. Can't wait for next week.

yeah it was a great episode last night ... cant imagine going through what they have gone through ...

Ana saving the little girl ... very well done, and she promised her she would bring her to her mother ... and then Libby freaking trying to patch up the guys broken leg ... :thud: I could never do that ... even though the guy died ... it was at least great to see that anyone who died there got a resting place ...

Nathan was a goodie, but got to feel the bad vibe with him ... all along Ana did notice Goodwin not being wet, but she forgot about it and decided to go against Nathan ... and then boom, Goodwin ... killed like a freaking pig ...

The tie in as to Boone hearing ... "we are the survivors of flight 815" ... wonderfully awesome ... and its getting good ... cant wait to see what JJ has in store next week ... (y) (y)

Great episode! Now i really wonder whats up with the others. "they are much better now" Why do they mean by that? And the list of people, only good people on the list, meaning that no one of the other survivors are good people?

Its gonna be a hard time for Ana lucia, in the next episode.. :(

Great episode though I was expecting to see more of The Others. I thought they killed and took a huge amount of survivors.. The list was interesting, they only take good people. What have the others done so that they don't qualify as good persons? I mean, have they done something big ( Kate's past, Charlie's drugs etc.) or what..

They found a different Dharma symbol and the place seems to be just a big storage facility as Goodwin said. Why would it need its own symbol? I wish Ana would have asked about the place before killing Goodwin, she should have asked lots of questions! It's strange that they still continued to live in the bunger though Goodwin knew about it..

I still hate Ana. I understand that she's the leader of the group and has to be tough for others but she seems to be so violent, look what she did to Nathan and Sawyer!

Loved the connection between Bernard and Boone's transmission!

If the whole idea of the island being purgatory, after death, then I could see where the list fits in. But I hope all the survivors aren't actually dead.

I thought it was really well done, and I'm glad they didn't do too much with 'The Others'. What was shown was good. If we saw too much of them, or found out too much about them, then they mightn't be as interesting. At the moment, they're still a mystery to us, and the survivors.

As for Goodwin, I don't think it ever came to me that he was the infiltrator, until he set the other guy free. Up until then I thought Ana had the right guy.

I'm a little disappointed that Cindy was taken. I would've liked to have seen more from the perspective of the air-hostess... We may have even seen Greg Grunberg back as the pilot in her flash-backs.

Damon Lindelof has stated that, although the purgatory idea is creative, that isn't the basis for "Lost". These people are alive.

I still can't care less about the tailies. Yawn...
But it was interesting to find out a little bit more about the others, and that they were infiltrating both groups.

I really really liked Brett Cullens character. I haven't seen him since The Young Riders some what?, ten fifteen years ago. I loved him in that show, and was really sad when he died. I was looking forward to see more of him.
