After a moment, she moved her left hand to his right, which held the ring, and pawed at it slightly, wiggling her ring finger at him. Laughing softly as he did so, he slid the ring on her finger and hugged her tightly. “I love you so much,” she choked into his shoulder.

Good chapter! You know, I liked that Michael's proposal was sort of understated. And Nadia's always showing up at the worst times. Hee hee. Aw, CalTech, so they can be close and Nadia can babysit for those nieces and nephews she's been begging for! ;-)
 
I can't beleive that Nadia came back and saw Michael proposing to Sydney, and then coming back in the morning and finding clothes everywhere. GREat update

I love tha they are getting married and that since Nadia didn't get in she gonna give the money to Syd so she can go back to schoolawesome. I can't wait for them to tell Vaughn's parents they're gonna be thrilled. Thanks for the pM and I can't wait for more.
 
Now that Nadia is going to attend CalTech she can still walk in on them at the wrong time, forever! You know, that is a little scarey come to think of it! At least she can babysit for them.

Aww, I loved it! Thank god those two finally slept together. :lol: And it was so fitting for Nadia to walk in on Vaughn's proposal. That was hilarious. That was so Adam Sandler in Big Daddy. "You're not proposing, are you? " :rotflmao: Ahhh, good times. ;)

That was great ... aww soo cute ... yeah they are enganged ... that makes ist harder for Jack to take Nadia away doesnt it (cause she has a stable home) ... aww soo sad Nadia didnt get into MIT ... but everything worked out in the end ... thanks for the PM ... more soon please
 
“So… um,” Michael began with a slight nervous laugh. “I was, um, going to do this on Valentines Day… cheesy I know, but I think now is a better time,” he said quietly as he dug in his pocket, pulled out a diamond ring and held it out in front of her, wishing that he could see the look on her face.

Just as this was happening, Nadia, who had forgotten something, burst through the door, ranting about something that neither Sydney nor Michael paid any attention to until they heard her scream loudly at the sight of them. “Oh my god! Oh my god, you’re proposing!!! Oh my god, oh my god!!” she screamed as she jumped up and down.

Meanwhile Sydney was staring in shock, open mouthed at the ring in front of her and Michael was about ready to choke Nadia from halfway across the room. “NADIA!” he hissed. “I’m gonna kill you!”

“Oh god, sorry!” she cringed. “I just forgot… I’ll be back tomorrow. YAY!” she squealed as she grabbed the item she had forgotten and ran back out of the apartment.

Michael grumbled to himself; his perfect moment was destroyed and Sydney hadn’t moved or spoken since he pulled out the ring, which made him panic slightly. “Syd,” he said quietly.

She turned slowly to face him, brushing a tear from her cheek as she did so. Then, she looked at him in disbelief. “I don’t understand…,” she uttered quietly.

“Don’t… understand….what?” he asked slowly, praying that she understood he was, in fact, proposing to her.

“Why you want me,” she told him quietly.

“Sydney,” he almost laughed. “How could I not?”

She shrugged. “It’s just… you’re so great and I’m just-”

“Hey,” he said softly, cutting her off. “Don’t you see? It’s completely the other way around. Sydney, you are the most amazing person I’ve ever met – maybe even in the world! In the past… I don’t even know how long it’s been since you’ve anything for yourself. All you’ve done is for Nadia… making sure she’s okay and that she has enough money to go to school. Nobody else would have done that Sydney; nobody. I guarantee it. I’m the one that is so, so lucky to have you. You amaze me every day and I want you to keep amazing me for the rest of forever.”

She choked slightly on her tears as she leaned forward and rested her head on his shoulder.
