    Sci-Fi A Clockwork Orange

Starbeast, my God man you brought back memories with your above post. I also used to purchase Mad Mag every chance I got as a pre teen and absoluteley loved it. i remember well the "Crockwork Lemon" issue like it was yesterday. My parents could never understand why I believed that Mad was the...

    Sci-Fi A Clockwork Orange

Agreed, our friend Alex also drugged them pretty badly before he had his way with them, but the scene in the movie, in fast motion, with the William Tell Overture in the background, was one of the best scenes in the flick. Kubrick did a great job with that one. On a separate note, one of...

    What book are you reading?

How many spoilers do you want, TGL?...I'll be happy to give you my opinion of plot synopses, etc, what happens and who does what to whom, but I don't want to ruin it for you if you are planning on checking it out for yourself. Lemme know and we'll take it from there.....

    What book are you reading?

Yes, TGL...I just finished reading "Sandworms of Dune" by B.Herbert and K.J. Anderson within the last week. I will be very happy to give you my opinion of this, complete with a ton of spoilers, but I would like to know first if you have had any experience with the original series...

    Sci-Fi A Clockwork Orange

To me, at least, one of the best movies ever made. Ranks right up there with Blade Runner, the first two Godfather's, and Apocalypse Now. The moral questions this movies asks, the character of Alex Delarge performed superbly by Malcom McDowall, the minor characters, from the prison guard...

    Sci-Fi Blade Runner (1982)

Good point, Kevin. This is why I believe Deckard to be human. It would change the meaning of the flick negatively too much for me. What i like about this movie the most is the fact that we have a very, very jaded character like Deckard who can't stand his life, his occupation, etc...

    Your Favorite Star Trek Movie

There have been many good ones, it's tough to beat Ricardo Montalban as Khan in II, and I thought Christopher Lloyd was very good as the Klingon commander in "The Search for Spock", but I have to go with "First Contact". I absolutely enjoyed the fact that the father of warp drive, who...

Omphalos, Thanks for the heads up man. I do feel kinda compelled to read it though, considering it is the last of the Dune saga, and so far, it's ok. I have my doubts I'll be saying that by the time I'm finished however.... Take care, Omph. I'll find you out here on the boards...

Omphalos, Whazzup!! I don't know if you remember me from Wormsscifi also, but i went by the name gurney man over there. Good to see you still around. For whatever it's worth, I've decided to torture myself by reading Sandworms of Dune. I've despised everything B.H and KJA has written in...

    Sci-Fi Blade Runner (1982)

Just about every sci fi forum that I have ever belonged to has debated the question of whether or not Rick Deckard was a replicant, so i'm going to bring it up here also. I'd love to know what you guys think. There are two very good sides to this question, I will give my personal...

    What book are you reading?

Maybe my problem is that i'm trying to read too much at once. Right now I am juggling: "Scientists Discredit Intelligent Design and Creationism" "Guide to the Antietam Battlefield" "Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs" "Chariots of the Gods" by Erich Von Daniken "The Zapruder Film...

    Sci-Fi Blade Runner (1982)

That is very cool Starbeast. I just got off the site that tells how the gun was reproduced and what it's original parts were, and it was fascinating. Talk about a prop I would love to own.... Thanks for the heads up on that one, also.......

    Suggested SC-FI series.

I hope this falls under your classification of series, but I recommend highly to any sci fi fan to buy a box set or watch the New Years marathon of "The Twilight Zone". Rod Serling is a highly underrated sci fi author and his stories in this show became classics of not only sci fi but tv...
