Comedian & actress Joan Rivers died earlier today at the age of 81. Her death follows being in the hospital for what was described as a "routine surgery" during which she had a cardiac arrest.
Rivers is best known as a comic in the '60s & '70s and for her frequent appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. In the '80s she was a common guest on Hollywood Squares.
