Ron Rifkin may end up staying at ABC after "Alias" ends its run in May, and Chi McBride might join him.

The two veteran actors have signed on to separate pilot projects at ABC -- Rifkin in the drama "Brothers & Sisters" and McBride in an untitled show from "Without a Trace" creator Hank Steinberg. Elsewhere, teenager Keir Gilchrist has joined FOX's comedy "Becoming Glen."

Rifkin, who's played the alternately evil and paternal Arvin Sloane on "Alias" for the past five seasons, will co-star in "Brothers & Sisters," which revolves around a group of adult siblings. He'll play their uncle, the Hollywood trade papers report.

In addition to "Alias," the Tony Award winner's screen credits include "L.A. Confidential," "The Sum of All Fears" and a recurring part on "ER."

Chi McBride!

It would be interesting if we get to see Ron and Chi in one show though. ;)

This is probably partly due to a clause in his contract with Touchstone/ABC. He was signed on for another year so they would give him a good shot at another show.

Or maybe I'm wrong.
