The emmy's sucked this year. sorpranos is a stupid show and it doesnt deserve to win. alias does. this is a thread ofr people to rave and yell about the emmy's
 
well, as I've already raved in the chat, THE EMMY'S SUCK REALLY BAD AND THE ACADEMY IS A BUNCH OF CRACK MONKEYS! and I will be ok if I never here the words, 'And the Emmy goes too...' ever again.

I was reaaaaaalllly disappointed :mad: with tonight's Emmy awards! :wtf: I really think the spy fam should have won! No respect for ALIAS! Maybe we should host our own ALIAS award show?

preach it brittany. the academy are a bunch of people who are involved with the mafia and thatsa why they voted for the sorpranos
 
son of a gun they sucked this year. The only good award was Debra Messing. Nothing else was worth while watching.

oh oh oh! totally agree! That's the exact same thing I just said to my mom...that's like the only award I've agreed with 100% all night. She so deserved it, I love Will and Grace!
 
i totally agree, lena was an awesome and complex character, victor is the best dad i have ever seen on tv and jen is just jen! she kicks some serious ass and deserved it,,,we all know that the spy fam deserved to win! ALIAS awards show all the way! :redhair:
 
I agree with all of you. This was the worst Emmy's ever! I mean, gahhh Victor, Lena, and Jen all should have won. They all got robbed :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:
 
i am so upset, i am unable to properly articulate. the Emmy's completely favor cable shows. i keep trying to tell myself that they don't have a personal grudge against ALIAS, but it feels that way. however, they do obviously prefer cable programs. i've watched those shows on HBO and so on, and i can say that the acting on those shows isn't as a rule superior to the rest of television. but the artsy fartsy folks who control the awards think that Emmy's should only be given out to actors on shows (and the shows themselves) that feature content which would be unsuitable for network television. as if being perverse, disgusting, and crass in and of itself earns the highest honors. and so shows like ALIAS, despite the fact that especially Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin and Lena Olin have been considered some of the very best, but underrated actors will not likely ever be awarded. and that these actors are not awarded, even by people who for years have been saying that these actors have not recieved proper recognition and now have the chance to give it to them, still go unrecognized. just look at friends. it took 8 years before they finally got a nomination for best comedy series. despite the fact that it was the number 1 comedy EVERY BLOODY WEEK. now obviously this is not a popularity contest, but you'd think that with a show THAT successful it would at least earn a nomination, because in theory if 20 million people like the show enough to never miss it it must have some merit.

well that's my rant. and to finish i just wanna say that JENNIFER GARNER looked so super gorgeous tonight. and in my mind is the VERY BEST ACTRESS in any kind of series.

i honestly am a very unbiased tv viewer. i really am. even though i've currently dedicated my tv allegiance to ALIAS. and i've watched at least a small amount of all the other shows nominated against ALIAS. and Lena Olin, Victor Garber and Jennifer Garner were all my top picks. it sounds extremely biased, but the bloody Soporano's win nearly every damn category and we're supposed to believe that they're not biased at all, that they're really just looking at the talent. it's total felgercarb. i don't know what ALIAS has to do to win. although i'm sure if they started swearing every other word and went part porn they'd have a real chance. since it's obviously not a "good" show if it's not offensive and perverse (please observe sarcasm. =) thanks).

I don't believe this felgercarb. Emmy (or Academy) has voters who happens to be best friends of producers of such shows like The West Wing, Sopranos, & etc. Meaning they rather give it to somone they know for long time than give it to innnovators.

Another thing, this board has members who are nearly 60 years old. Keep that in mind. :thinking:
 
I don't think it's just the Emmys. Awards shows like this one don't seem to mean anything anymore. People vote according to politics, and the best shows, or movies, or anything never seem to win anymore.
I'm sure everybody knows The Sopranos isn't really the best show with the best acting. Personally I have never been able to sit through an episode I find it so boring.
How do we all join the Academy as voters?!
 
I just can't believe that they didn't win! I'm sooo upset!!!! I just can't believe it. The peopel at the Emmy's need to have their heads examined. Let me ask you how in the world could someone from a show like judging amy POSSIBLY beat Lena Olin?!
 
Grr I know! I hate the Emmy ppl! LO totally deserved that award. I mean being really sincere yet secretive at the same time is hard to play. VG is just a great actor all together. And is sweet to JG. AND JG totally earned this year. I mean fighting, the whole storyline change, and acting herslef was great. Why did some old woman who has 3 emmys win it! I am going to e-mail the Emmy ppl personally and tel them they are airheads and stupid for there decisison.
